Teja got up with the alarm and turned it off and looked at her right to see him sleeping upside down and snoring. She rolled her eyes and poked his shoulder. He didn't seem to budge even a bit.
"Karan...." She patted his shoulder.
"Parvez 5 minutes baas...." He groaned and went back to sleep.
"Huh?" She frowned and pulled his blanket away.
"Kya yaar...." He opened his eyes and looked at his side to see her sitting rolling her eyes.
"Oh....Ms. Wrong Parking...." He muttered and buried his face into the pillow again.
"Wake up idiot....we need to go to the temple...." She said in irritation.
"2 minutes...." He muttered.
"Fine....i am taking poonam di...." She got up and Karan immediately sat up and rubbed his eyes.
"Wait no...." He muttered and stretched. "I will get ready and come...." He said with a pout and walked out of the room like a sleepy kid. "Irritating girl....sone bhi nahi deti...." He muttered under his breath.
She shook her head and chuckled.
Teja got ready wearing a dark blue salwar and kept her hair open and called him.
"Ab kya chahiye?" He asked in irritation after picking up the call.
"Kuch nahi chahiye bas bolna tha that I am ready...." She said slowly being taken aback with his tone.
Karan immediately understood that his tone was not correct and her voice had changed.
"Umm....sorry....even i am ready....wait...." He disconnected the call and went to her room to find her standing at the door.
He was wearing a cream kurta but she didn't feel like checking him out. Why does he have to be so rude all the time?
"I am sorry...." He said softly.
Teja looked at him and nodded.
"I need my morning tea to get out of my grumpy mood....we are going for the temple so i thought of not having tea isiliye thoda....mujhe laga you called to scold...." He said like a kid and she couldn't help but melt.
But i don't have to show that on my face.
"It's okay...." She said slowly.
"Chalein?" He said tilting his head and she nodded and they went out.
Karan drove themselves to the nearby mandir. She got down and bought the offerings. She was about to open the chain of her sling bag when he held ber hand.
"I'll pay...." He said looking into her eyes and she nodded softly.
They went inside the mandir and gave the thaali to the panditji and prayed.
The panditji gave the prasad and thaali back to them.
"Aap shaadi shuda ho?" He asked them sweetly.
"Nahi....hone wali hai...." Karan said politely.
Teja immediately looked at him. Has he really gotten used to the idea of getting married to her that he could say this so easily?
"Jeete raho....kab hai shaadi?" He asked happily.
"Dates fixed nahi hai...." Karan said with a smile.
"Khudne chuna ek dusre ko?" The elderly man asked looking at them lovingly.
"Nahi....gharwalo ne...." Karan said sheepishly.
They walked out of the mandir after the small talk.
"When we were coming here uncle asked me to take care of you during the travel....you had never travelled out of India alone....tonight you are going back alone....are you sure you will be able to manage?" He asked as he started to drive back.
"I'll be fine...." She said while looking out.
Karan didn't say anything else and they reached back soon.
They got down the car and he took out his vape for a smoke.
"Try to lessen it...." She said without looking at him. "Even i used to....stopped a while back....you can stop if you really want to....i have seen you use it very frequently...."
He kept it back in his pocket without taking a puff.
"Teja take care while going back...." He said seriously. "It will be a long flight....i got tickets after some days because at that time i didn't know we would be...." He stopped.
"I will be fine....don't worry...." She smiled a bit.
"Teja?" He asked looking at her.
"Hmm?" She said looking straight.
"Will you feel lonely there without uncle aunty?" He asked slowly.
Without mumma , papa and you.
"Not really....i can't ask everyone to be with me all the time because i have work commitments and i have to go back...." She chuckled.
"Teju come come...." Poonam di called her from the lawn.
Everyone was sitting at the lawn having their morning tea.
Karan and Teja walked till them.
"You guys went to the mandir?" Karan's jiju asked them finding tilak on their forehead.
"Haan jiju woh...." Karan stopped and looked here and there as everyone started to smile looking at each other.
"Teju prakash uncle pra and aunty are staying with us at our place for a few days before going to chicago....we will go to our house together by the evening....please stay back nuh...." Madhu di requested her and Karan immediately looked at her hopefully.
"Nahi di i have to resume shoot...." She said sadly. "You people have fun nuh....i will join some other time...."
"Stay for two three days nuh beta....it will be a nice family time...." Karan's father told her lovingly.
Teja looked at Karan who was looking at her hopefully.
He won't ask.
"No uncle....shoot hai nuh...." She said with a smile. She knew she could postpon it for a couple of days but he won't ask.
"Should I talk to ma'am?" Karan asked her slowly.
"Yes mamu please....please...." Veer jumped as soon as he said it. His entire family was super fond of her.
"No no...." She said immediately. "I will talk...."
"So it's a yes?" His nephews asked happily and she nodded with a huge smile.
"Sunny arrange her tickets after two three days okay?may be for sunday?we will get three days together...." Meenu said excitedly.
"Yeah even i will have to go back on sunday....i have some work...." He said taking his phone out.
"But mamu you said you will stay for two weeks...." Veer whined like a kid.
"Sorry kiddoo....work...." He said making a face and called Omi to arrange for two tickets for him and Teja.
Teja smiled softly.
Ghanta work. He just wants to go back with me. He doesn't want me to go alone.
