Karan was already in the venue attending the guests. They had their roka and engagement arranged in one of the best hotels in the city but it was a private function. No media was informed and they had managed to keep it completely a secret. Only their families and close friends were there.

He looked at the entrance of the banquet when Teja entered and he couldn't even move his eyes away from her.

She looked like an angel. In a silver lehenga with a simple necklace and hair kept open in soft curls.

He gulped immediately and looked away when people around him started to hoot and he saw Teja blush.

Teja looked at him and he was looking hotter than usual. With a black shirt and royal blue blazer and Trouser , he looked hot. She felt her heartbeat going up jist by seeing him and that too from a distance.

Karan walked towards her and held her hand and walked her to the stage and made her sit.

"Thanks...." She said looking at him.

He smiled and went back to attend the guests.

In half an hour their roka rituals were done and they both took blessings from the elder.

"Karan make her wear the ring...." His mother told him lovingly and he nodded and looked at Meenu who gave him the box.

He opened the box and took out the ring and forwarded his palm to take her palm.

She kept her hand on his palm and he made her wear the ring and everyone clapped and hooted.

She was shocked seeing the ring. Karan looked at her face and smiled a bit knowing why she was shocked.

This was not the ring that she had selected when they both had gone to buy their rings.

She had seen quite a few designs while Karan had observed her patiently. She had selected another ring but he had seen her look at this one quite a few times. She had not made it evident at all but he knew she had liked this more. She had asked the price of all the rings and this was the most expensive all the lot. Almost three times the cost of what the other were. And she had selected another ring for herself which was also equally beautiful but he knew. He knew that she liked this the most.

She looked at him and glared and he gave and innocent smile while she one of her cousin gave her his ring and she made him wear it.

Everyone hooted and clapped and they smiled at everyone.

After the rituals were done , Karan had taken her to meet a few close friends and she spoke to them. As they went aside to grab their dinner , Teja held Karan's arm and pulled him aside.

"What the hell Teja....abhi nahi kar sakte hai....bohut log hai...." He said sheepishly and then smiled naughtily.

"Just shut up....why did you get this ring?i selected another one...." She said angrily. "I like that one...."

"Okay...." He said casually. "I got that one as well...."

"Excuse me what?" She looked at him in shock.

"Haan why?wear that whenever you like but i liked this one better for our engagement....so...." He shrugged casually.

"Karan do not lie i...." She whisper yelled at him.

"Why do you think i am lying?" He frowned. "Wait that means you know why i got this?so you are admitting that you had lied about which one you like?"

"Don't try to ghumao me with your words....i selected that....why did you get this?" She glared at him.

"I know how to read mind...." He whispered in her ear. "And i will always read your mind little fiance....so don't hide anything from me....i will not let you lie...."

She looked at him immediately.

"From next time i don't want you to hide anything from me....if you like something you will take it....i will tell you if i have issues with buying it....i promise i will tell you...." He said genuinely.

"There is no point spending so much over a ring Karan...." She said seriously.

"This ring is forever okay?it is special....and it is priceless....it cannot be valued with money...." He said softly and she didn't know what else to say.

The function got over at about 1 o'clock. The guests had left and Karan asked his team to handle everything and drop their families home.

When Teja was about to go with Parvez , he held her hand and shook his head gesturing her to wait. She stood beside him and soon everyone had left.

Karan took her to his car and opened the door for her. She sat in the passenger seat and he closed the door and sat in the driver seat and started to drive.

He drove in silence but kept holding her hand. He parked outside her house and got down and opened the door for her.

"Bye...." She said softly.

"Bye Ms.Wrong Parking....now that you are my fiance i was thinking how about i teach you how to park properly...." He said with a chuckle.

She glared at him.

"Drive safe...." She said softly and kissed his cheeks.

"I will...." He nodded with a smile.

"I love you...." She said smiling softly.

"I know...." He shrugged and she rolled her eyes.

"Bye...." She huffed angrily and went inside the house and he laughed softly and sat in the car.

She closed the door and went upstairs and he looked up peeping out of the window. He saw her switch on the light of the room and he smiled softly as he peeped out of the window. He waved at her and she waved back before driving away.
