Jihoon was never a one to show emotions most of the time. But he couldn't help but feel a pit of jealousy and pain of his own broken heart as he saw who he thought was the love of his life was laughing and introducing someone else as his fiancée. The surroundings were just too conjusted for him to bear, so he just ran.All too well, 10 minutes Taylor's version playing in his phone while he's now on the roof of some 5 star hotel with a bottle of champagne and 2 glasses. Glass, the same material his heart was made up and now is shattered.
"God!!!!! I was trying to sound poetic but still came out cheezy. Ugh." He thought to himself.
"Maybe that's why he's with him and not me. "
The thought just weighed him down.Downstairs, in the hall, is an engagement party of his best friend and love of his life with someone who wasn't him.
From the first interaction, Jihoon had thought they were meant to, and later, when he felt like the friendship had developed into something more, he gets to know he already had someone else.
So, after all the insued chaos in his brain, he just wanted a peaceful place for himself to chill and cool down so, he ran with a bottle of champagne along with glass of champagne and couple of shots from the waiter he met along the way to the roof.
The roof was very spacious with barbed wire all over the side of the roof for security and safety purposes. But little further from there was the small rim real boundary of the roof from where if you fall you DIE. But there was a pretty big space in between for a person.
Having his heart officially broken, he just needed a place to cry where no one could see him or find him. But since he's too far sober to cry, he decided to do what the lovelorn lovers do in the movies and drink till the pain dies. But it'll be a bit hard because he has never really been a drinker.
Coffee yes alcohol NO.
He started with full one in one-shot then two. Then proceeded to open the new champagne bottle, but the cork felt too tight. He tried again and still couldn't open it. He rubbed his hands together and then took off his rings, but suddenly the ring rolled from his hands, and now it was trapped between rim and the barbed wire of the terrace.
"Ohh. Shit. Heck. Noooooo." Jihoon's mind and mouth screamed in unison as it registers the roll.
Since the ring was his greatest possession, he just couldn't let it go like that. So he tried to get his hand through the barbed wire and pull it near if he could, but his hands were too short to reach. He looked for something to pull it, but there was nothing of help. As panic surrounded my brain, he could only think of climbing the wire. So, after some so-called calculation, he took off his shoes and his coat jacket and got ready to climb, he readied himself.
Before he could start,a voice startled him, almost making him unsteady, but he steadied himself and sucking in a hard breath.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" The voice continued, the figure moving closer to him. He looked at himself and realized what that man would have assumed, so he tried to come down to assure the person. But it started looking a bit too high. The adrenalin was too high before, when he climbed the barrier without hesitation. Now, he felt stuck.
He probably might look like a monkey right now, half up and half down, trying to climb down. When he looked back, there was a suited person walking nearer.
"It's not what it looks like. I just wanted to get my ring." He said, pointing to the ring which was still stuck on the wired rim to justify his action.
Stranger's head turned as he moved near Jihoon to look at the ring. As he approached near, Jihoon's eye landed on coat pocket where he could see a pen, a unique one with Magnet.
