The game was in full swing, with laughter and chatter.
As tradition would have it, a series of wedding games was about to commence, meant to bring joy. The teams were divided and ready to play and win.
Their friends and families, eager to spark some friendly competition, cheered. Both families were quick to playfully rile them up, each side claiming they had the "better half" on their team.
"Today's game is Trivia Showdown. " Jun now a part-time announcer of the game announced.
"The first game, a trivia round. It is designed to test who knew the other better. First, we go with both of the groom's team and ask them questions about the grooms. We have already interviewed the grooms with the questions and hope the groomsmen would be able to match them as much as they can. The more correct answer, a higher chance of them to win."
The team sat across each other, a cheeky smirk shared between them, each one confident about their answers. Joshua, the man of Honour, was the captain of Hanie's team, while Jihoon, the best man, was the captain of Cheol's.
As questions like "What's their guilty pleasure snack?" and "What was their childhood dream job?" were fired, they each found surprising little secrets that even the other hadn't quite known. A tiny spark of curiosity—and perhaps, nerves—flashed in their eyes. Who would win this one? It was a tight race, each point seemingly a tug on their heartstrings as the answers revealed new quirks and memories.
An hour in, and both sides were going neck to neck. The questions were on the verge of ending, but the game was not. So, a new format was offered to make the game short and interesting. Now it was grooms vs. opposite team.
The chairs were now set up for the grooms. The captains were taking turns to answer the questions.
" So I'll list the new rules.
I'll ask the questions and groom who the question is about will write their answer on the small board given to them,
The captains of the team will have to answer the questions on their turn, but there is a catch this time.
Grooms will get the opportunity to answer the question about their significant other if the captains get it wrong and the one with the most point wins. So are we ready to play 'partner in crime or partner for life?'' The crowd cheered, and the game began."First question for Team Cherry, what are the 3 favourite movies of Mr. Choi SeungCheol?"
"Choi SeungCheol? Choi SeungCheol? Call me Coups, Cheol, or Seungcheol. CHOI SEUNGCHEOL??? What are you? My homeroom teacher?" Cheol interviened to which everyone laughed at his sulky behaviour. Jun nodded with a cheeky smile.
"Okay, so what are 3 favourite movies of Mr. Choi?" Cheol's side eye was bombastic, but he didn't say anything, and the crowd with friends and family laughed at the amused reaction.
"Me before you, Notebook and......... the eternal sunshine of a spotless mind." Jihoon answered.
"Mr. Cheol, show us the answer." Jun asks Cheol, and he flips his board with a huge smile.
"Points for Team Cherry." Jun announces, and Mingyu, Wonwoo cheered.
"He really is a sucker for romantic movies with sad endings." Jeonghan added with a smile.
Joshua added the detail, which made Cheol red like a tomato." When I and Cheol were hanging out as Han wanted me to bond with his partner." Shua continued..
