Lily walked through the quaint two-bedroom house, taking in its charming features with a sense of appreciation. The freshly painted walls exuded a clean, inviting scent, their hues carefully chosen to evoke feelings of warmth and comfort. The first bedroom, adorned in a soothing shade of pale green, boasted gleaming hardwood floors that echoed with each step. Soft sunlight filtered through the window, casting a gentle glow on the room's furnishings—a cozy bed with crisp white linens, a vintage wooden dresser adorned with delicate trinkets, and a plush rug that invited bare feet to sink into its soft fibers.

In the second bedroom, a soft yellow hue enveloped the space, infusing it with a sunny disposition. The same polished hardwood floors lent an air of elegance, while a spacious closet offered ample storage for clothing and belongings. A small desk tucked into the corner provided a cozy nook for reading or writing, its surface adorned with a few well-loved books and a scattering of colorful pens.

Moving into the kitchen, Lily found herself enchanted by its modern yet inviting ambiance. Dark wood cabinets contrasted beautifully with sleek grey countertops, while black appliances added a touch of sophistication. The white tiled floor gleamed underfoot, its pristine surface reflecting the soft glow of the overhead lights. A large window above the sink flooded the space with natural light, offering a picturesque view of the backyard beyond.

Stepping through the back door, Lily discovered a charming outdoor retreat that, while not sprawling, exuded a sense of tranquility and coziness. A small patio area provided the perfect spot for al fresco dining or lounging in the sun, while a well-tended garden offered bursts of vibrant color against the backdrop of lush greenery. A quaint wooden fence encircled the yard, adding a touch of privacy and seclusion to the space.

Wanda's heels clicked on the floor as she walked through the kitchen, her sharp eyes taking in the details of the space. "It's not your Boston house, but it'll do," she smirked.

Lily chuckled, leaning against the counter. "Yeah, it's different, but I think we'll make it work. I can always ask Steve to keep some of his outdoor stuff here."

Wanda nodded, glancing out the back door. "I don't think his trampoline would fit," she teased, turning back to Lily. "Have you talked to Colton yet?"

"I wanted to wait until I knew we got the house," Lily explained, twirling the keys in her hand. After spending a month with her parents, she was eager to have her own space again.

Wanda smiled knowingly. "And have you talked to Steve?" she inquired with a mischievous glint in her eye.

Lily shook her head. "Not yet. He's meeting us for ice cream later," she replied, grabbing her purse off the counter. "But let's go; I've got to pick Colton up from my parent's house."
