The morning sun trickled through the windows, causing it to blissfully shine on Robin and Nancy.
The two of them were fast asleep, practically cuddling with each other. Nancy was sleeping on Robin's chest, no worry in her head, while the other girl had her arms wrapped around Nancy.
Knock.
Robin immediately woke up, hearing a knock at her door, but before she could get up, someone opened the door,
Steve.
"Steve!" Robin whisper yelled while the guy strolled to her living room.
"I told you not to abuse house key privileges, when have I ever uninvitedly pounced into your house?"
Before Steve could take note on what Robin was saying, he immediately noticed the two girls snuggling with one another.
"What happened here?" Steve asked, walking to her kitchen and looking through her pantry.
Steve was always like this, an uninvited guest.
Robin liked it most of the time because of being prone to loneliness, but certainly not at this time."You don't need to know." She awkwardly replied, sitting up.
Right then, Robin could feel Nancy wrapping her arms around her waist.
"Robin?" The girl asked, groaning her name groggily.
Robin burned up, while Steve stuffed his face with Oreos he found while rummaging.
"H-Hi." She could feel goosebumps form on her arms.
"Why is Steve here?" Nancy asked, her eyes still shut.
Robin was surprised on how the girl knew Steve was in the room.
"She's like a camera but with her eyes closed." Steve annoyingly announced, stuffing another Oreo in his mouth.
Nancy opened her eyes, her face disappointed at the guy, she quickly fixed up her posture in an up-right sitting position.
"Why are you even here?" Nancy put her head on Robin's shoulder, acting as if she lived with Robin.
"It's the weekend, duh." Steve rolled his eyes, acting like a drama queen.
"I always come to Robin's house on the weekends to do stupid stuff and watch dumb cartoons." Steve made hand gestures that annoyed Nancy.
The curly haired girl's face immediately fell, Robin liked Steve, that's what she told her in the car last night. She didn't want the two to bond even more, she wanted Robin to herself.
"We should swing by the slushy place today." The guy fixed his hair, while he emptied a half eaten Oreo container, then throwing it into the trash.
"That sounds good." Robin smiled lightly at Steve, the smile that made Nancy freeze up and blush. this time, Nancy blushed intensely.
"Nancy, you want to come?" Steve leaned on the island, asking the girl.
"Sure." Nancy couldn't even think twice, of course she would come.
"I'll go wait outside, I've gotta find the best radio station for today." Steve walked out the door backwards, immediately tripping on one of the porch stairs.
Robin busted out laughing, while Nancy giggled a bit. "That was intentional." He groaned.
~~~~~~~
"You can wear some of my clothes if you want, look for something you like." Robin was already dressed, both the girls were sitting on her bed.
Nancy looked through Robin's closet minutes later, trying to find something that would actually fit her.
She then found a yellow shirt that seemed to be her size, she tucked it in her hands, walking to Robin's drawers where her pants were. Nancy quickly found a pair of baggy jeans that were folded at the end, they could make do for the day.
"Are you going to give me some privacy?" Nancy sarcastically asked.
"Oh — Yeah." Robin blushed, closing the door behind her as she left.
~~~~~~~~
Once Nancy finished changing, she opened the door putting on the jacket Robin gave her, to see Robin standing outside.
"You look good." Nancy could see pink tint on Robin's face, she wondered if she were hallucinating.
"Thanks." Nancy smiled, walking down the stairs with her.
~~~~~~~~
"You're making me sit in the back?" Nancy asked, disappointed in Steve.
"What, do you want to sit on Robin's lap the whole time?" Steve sighed, he couldn't escape the tunnel of complaints from Nancy.
Nancy immediately fell silent, turning pink while she got into the backseat. Luckily, Robin was still inside the house getting her shoes on.
Steve had a radio station running, playing a wacky song he had put on. He hummed to it while he waited for Robin to get in.
Finally, Robin got into the passengers seat, after what felt like an eternity of Steve talking about his hair routine. immediately, Robin fixed her eyes on Nancy. They both shared eye contact, Robin could feel her skin tingling.
"Did I leave my hairspray can in the back?" Steve asked, following Robin's gaze.
"No." Robin looked back into the front, Nancy still staring at the girl.
Nancy looked out the window like a little kid the whole car ride. it was extremely boring being in the back, but it was better for her to be in the back in her own world instead of singing hippy songs with the two.
Steve pulled up into a parking lot, Nancy glanced at Robin, she looked as excited as a child.
~~~~~~~~~~
"Why is she so excited?" Nancy asked Steve, Robin was walking up ahead, jittery.
"I don't know." Steve shrugged.
Nancy looked at the guy, furrowing her eyebrows, "Really?"
"Fine." Steve sighed, smacking his face. "It's because Robin gets to see Vickie." He rolled his eyes, putting his hands in his pockets.
"Vickie?" Nancy asked, raising a brow.
"Robin's all-time best friend, they even have a handshake like me and Dustin." Steve scoffed at the handshake part.
