Nancy felt her heart ache the rest of the car ride. It felt like millions of swords stabbing her, which made it more dreadful to her.
"So, what do you like about Steve?" Nancy asked, holding her breath and biting her lower lip.
"Well, —" Robin couldn't find the words to match him. She would've said that he was a douche, but she couldn't give herself away. "His bushy hair makes him look like an idiot." She pestered, acting like that was sweet to her.
"Oh, that's nice." Nancy tilted her head towards her window. "I always thought you two would make a great couple." She calmly added on.
"Nancy, are you alright?" Robin asked the moping girl.
Nancy brushed it off, "Yeah." She smiled slightly to reassure her.
"Is something going on?" She asked, oblivious.
Nancy huffed out air, "Crush problems, something every girl challenges." Nancy let her smile face a bit.
"I get it." Robin spoke as Nancy drove up the girl's driveway.
"It's complicated, you wouldn't get it." The curly haired girl meekly replied, Lightly putting her foot on the brakes.

As Robin got out of the car, she couldn't help but notice Nancy's off tuned emotion. "Free ice cream tomorrow?" She asked, leaning on the car.
Nancy smiled at her, "Certainly."
