He raised a brow as I stood up and bowed to him. "Where's Kiyoko?"
"She went to her class. She swapped with me, I'm supposed to be taking care of this place from now on."
"Oh. Is that so?" He looked down to his feet. I noticed the books he was holding.
"Is there anything I can possibly do for you?"
"No actually," he paused before continuing. "I came here to help organize the shelves. I know it can take up a lot of time."
That's what Kiyoko was speaking about. I was going to bang my head against a wall but I only smiled.
"Right. Let's get to it then?" I stepped out and moved towards one of the shelves. I informed him which shelves needed organizing and which ones didn't as he listened attentively.
"Alright, I've got the 8 on this side, take care of the rest," he took off his coat which revealed his thin white button up tightening around his muscles. It was also tightened on the chest and he rolled up his sleeve, stopping right before he reached his elbow.
I think I was staring.
Politely though.
I shook my head and focused back on the shelves. "You're doing more than half of it, are you going to be fine?"
"I'm sure," Akaashi smiled at me before starting his work.
During the duty I couldn't help but picture it again in my head. I felt like a pervert honestly. He was pretty and had the body of some angel.
I had to snap out of it. He was my goddamn professor. That's disturbing, right? I scratched the back of my head, being done with the final book before I called out. "Akaashi-san?"
"Hm?" His voice replied as I followed it. I found him sitting on one of the couches with an open book in his hands.
"Oh, are you finished?" I asked, looking at the shelves I stood between.
"Yep," he replied, turning his book over.
"Seems good, thank you," I bowed to him a little. I titled my head as he seemed to be obvious with his stare on my face. "What is it?"
"Nothin'," he said, picking up his book again.
"You don't have a 2nd class?"
"Nope, I teach only one and third. This is my sort of break. Do you have anything during 2nd?"
"I did but I decided to take it in summer so I don't have to now."
"That's really smart," he commented, not moving his eyes off his book. I decided to return to my desk and took a seat. I didn't want to bother him, really. I returned to writing where I left off and didn't stop. Time flew and I never kept track. I kept writing until my hands were sore and tired of doing anything else. I checked the time and realized I still had 40 minutes until my next class. I sighed and rested my chin on my hand as I shifted my gaze to Akaashi who wasn't visible at all except for his fancy sneakers. I blinked and kept my eyes closed before opening them again.
Gone.
The sight of his shoes were gone.
I raised myself and attempted to look around but found nothing so I just leaned back on the chair. My eyes were beginning to close and I mentally yelled at myself but they were already closed and soon my mind shut up.
The sharp bell woke me up, making me jump out of my seat. I grasped my phone and checked the time.
2:00 PM.
I took off the coat off me and I-
Wait.
There was a coat on me?
I grabbed it and examined it before widening my eyes. This was Akaashi's.
"Akaashi-san?" I called out as I made my way to where he was before. I found him resting on the same couch with his eyes closed and I could hear extremely light quiet snores. His elbows were on the armrest, one of his arms laid and held the same book as before and the other one supported his head from falling. I snickered at the sight but tapped him on the shoulder.
"Akaashi-san? The bell has rung," I whispered a little loud. He didn't wake up but I couldn't just leave. I grabbed his shoulder and shook him.
"Akaashi-san!"His snores stopped and he flickered his eyes before fully opening them. "Oh."
"Yes, 'oh'," I handed him the coat.
"That was for you," he was blunt as he rubbed the back of his neck and yawned. I gave him a confused look. "You fell asleep under the air conditioner, you could've gotten a cold."
"Right, thank you." I nodded, turning to grab my things. "You snore, you know that?"
"I do?" his voice raised slightly. "How loud is it?"
"Really loud."
No. They were baby snores. The cutest snores I've ever heard.
"Oh goodness," he facepalmed, embarrassed. "I never knew I did that. None of my friends pointed it out, ever. Sorry for the bother, I barely fall asleep here."
"That's alright, you can make it up later," I froze instantly as I said that. "Not in that way."
"Don't worry, Tekin-chan," he leaned into my ear, whispering. "I'm not the one to make out with a stranger."
Before I could react in any form, Akaashi's shoulder brushed against me and he was out of the library.
Leaving me blush.
