The entire evening my mind kept replaying the scene. He had the best smile and it made my palms sweaty, surely that is not normal unless one has some sort of special feelings for the other person, but I didn't jump into any conclusions. I had to think about it and see if my feelings were clear.

"Ece!" Ichika yelled to snap me out of my thoughts. I flinched and quickly nodded.

"I know! I just have to apply this..." I leaned in to see myself clear in the mirror while applying the dark lipstick Ichika had given me.

"Where's your head at? This is your 10th zone-out now. Is it the hot professor?" She elbowed me gently, winking. She stepped close to whisper. "Did you two make-out again?"

"Ichika!" I pushed her back with my arm, capping the lipstick. "No! Also, this shade doesn't match me. Can I please just wear lip gloss and get this over with? We've been getting ready for the past 2 hours."

"I swear to god if you remove that shade I'm going to be really sad," she snatched the lipstick from me and turned me to her. She eyed me up and down. I wore a dark blue dress which was tight from the torso and had an A-line skirt from waist-below. The chest had a cute lace design which connected to the strap around my neck. It was beautiful honestly, but I never believed dark colors matched me. I was forced to buy it.

"Ece, with this look you might just pull the Kuroo. I'm genuinely jealous, everything and anything looks good on you!" she grinned, crossing her arms.

"No way," I snickered, looking back in the mirror and patting my curled hair which was clipped from one side. I then shifted my gaze to her. "You look so much more gorgeous."

"I was so debating between this red one or the other red one," she patted down her small, tight-silk dress, placing a hand on her hip. "But I guess silk suits me well. Does the red lip shade match or should I go darker?"

"The shade is fine," I replied, quickly tucking back her straightened, dark hair behind her ear. I loved her short hair, it matched her perfectly. "Don't do funky stuff with your ex. PLEASE."

She shrugged and grabbed my hand. "No promises...Let's go!"

We arrived at the party and Ichika asked me every 5 seconds if her eyeliner was still on point and if her mascara had smudged even while she was driving. At some point I stopped replying to her. I personally never liked wearing too much makeup because not only did it feel like a whole new layer of skin but it took a lot of time just for it to get ruined with one swipe.

Her friends gathered around her but she kept her grip on my hand, dragging me along. I allowed it. The group had taken us inside of the gigantic house which was huge from the inside and had all sorts of stuff. There was loud music, LED lights being the only source of lights in the darkness, and even bubbles.

I loved bubbles.

The others stopped near the kitchen where there was a round table with stacked cups and a large bucket filled with beer. Ichika filled herself some and chugged it immediately. I smacked her arm.

"Don't get drunk. Ichika, I'm not in the mood to drive a drunk you! Last time you were throwing up all over me."

"Ece...always the mom," one of her familiar friends commented. He smiled at me as I returned one back. He wore a loose tank top and had dyed blonde hair with a bandana tied around his hairline.

"I know, I'm sorry I just don't want her to get an upset stomach," I responded, scratching my hand.

"We've barely spoken before. I'm Yuuji. Terushima Yuuji," he grabbed my hand and kissed it. I noticed a glint inside his mouth when he spoke and I was sure it was a piercing.
