Megamind's Pov:

My heart was pounding as Y/n and I stood face to face.  The rage in their eyes changed to something else entirely, and the tension made it hard to think.  I hoped the bead of sweat now forming on the tip of my nose wouldn't drip into y/n's slightly open mouth, they were a mouth breather.  But the moment was over as quickly as it began, and before I knew it I was at the door.  These past few weeks time had felt like it sped up and slowed down without warning, but the sound of the doorbell was sobering, I knew we needed to get back to business.  From now on, everything would be normal again.

Then I opened the door

I was tall, but the figure standing outside my door towered over me, and at first I couldn't believe what I was seeing.  I guess I didn't even notice I was talking.

"Y-Y-You?"

Metroman smiled down at me warmly, but with a hint of sarcasm.  The smile brought back a flood of emotions and memories as those perfect lips opened up and started talking.

"Megamind," he said "good to see you back in the lair

"Megamind," he said "good to see you back in the lair."

I was speechless.  I knew my blue cheeks were flushed pink because I could feel how hot my face was getting, metroman always did know how to get me hot.  He smiled, probably at how nervous I looked at his mere presence.

"Can I come in"

I still couldn't speak, so I moved aside to let him in.  My stress levels grew as I remembered that Y/n was in the kitchen, probably hearing everything going on.  I didn't want to embarass myself, and I didn't want to have to explain metroman and Y/n to each other, because that would be a long night.

"The place looks exactly like I remember, you must-"

"Hey, um, Metroman?" I interrupted, "do you mind talking in my bedroom, there's some stuff going on with the heating out here, it won't be so cold in a smaller space."

I wasn't lying persay, it did get cold in the main lair, it was a big space, and I wouldn't be able to focus on the conversation until we had some privacy.  I could barely process what was happening as it was.

He smiled strangely at me.

"...Sure, makes no difference to me."

We made our way to the bedroom and I sat on the bed.  Metroman closed the door behind him.

We both sat in silence for a moment.  Then Metroman spoke.

"I, um.  So i heard about what happened with Roxanne."

I guess I should have been expecting it, I hadn't seen metroman since before Roxanne... I couldn't even think it, but it took me totally by surprise.

"I'm really sorry M.  I know how hard you must have taken it.  She meant a lot to you."

Hearing him call me M was like seeing a ghost, but honestly, it felt good.  I stood from the bed

"She meant something to you too, Metroman."

He was still standing by the door, but he took a step closer.

"M."

I had been avoiding his gaze, but now I looked into his steely eyes, I had looked into them a thousand times before and they felt warm, like home.

I felt his hand on my shoulder, as he gently guided my wiry blue body into his strong arms.  I let a tear escape, and as I felt him hold me tighter, the emotions I had been bottling up burst out as I started to cry into his buff manly chest.  I regained my composure and pulled away.  We made our way back out to the front room.

"Thanks for coming by Metroman, it means a lot."

"Yeah, it was my pleasure.  Listen, I'm gonna be in town for while so if you ever need someone to talk to... call me."  He stared deeply at me.  I held out my blue hand and he took it in a firm and friendly handshake.  Our hands lingered longer than they should have.  I started to let go but Metroman held tighter and pulled me close to him.

"Can I kiss you?"

"Yes," I breathed, and our lips tangoed.  I savored the feeling of contact and passion, and then it was over, and Metroman was gone into the night.
