Interesting Encounter

Y/n's Pov:

My hands gripped the wheel as I thought about the bizarre events of the day.  Thoughts rushed through my head.
Where did my boss go?
Does Megamind know that I'm gone?
What's gonna happen when I get back?
I know there used to be a hamster on my desk, where did it go?
Can I keep working for Megamind?
The cage was still there, it wasn't even open, did someone steal my desk hamster with their bare hands, wtf why didn't they take the cage?

I breathed in deeply, as I turned the corner and pulled into the empty lot outside the lair.  I turned off my car and hesitated before opening the door and walking up to the entrance.  I walked in, and there was Megamind.  Still wearing the clothes I saw him in this morning, his eyes red, almost like he was crying.  

He looked up at me with a surprised look on his face.  He let out a soft sigh before standing from the stool he was on and walking over to me.  He wrapped his long blue arms around me and gave me a warm, tight hug.  Slightly shocked, I slowly raised my arms and returned the gesture.  I breathed in his scent and held him tight.  I could have stayed like that forever, but before I knew it, Megamind was pulling away gently.  

He smiled down at me strangely, and then the worried look returned to his face.

"Y/n... listen... about last night- I was just feeling weird about the whole thing and I panicked and-"

"Megamind, don't worry about it.  It wasn't your fault.  I shouldn't have done that.  It won't happen again."

Megamind's face went blank and he looked away from me.  He walked into the kitchen.  The sun was starting to set.  I approach Megamind and break the awkward silence.

"I haven't eaten all day, I'm starving.  Want me to go get something?"

Megamind's expression brightened and he nodded happily.

"Alright, I'll be back in 20 minutes"

"Ok, see you then.  Oh, and y/n..."

I was about to head out the door, but I turned around, hopeful for something to happen.  Although I didn't quite know what.

"Yeah Megamind?"

"I'm really glad you're here."

I smiled and walked back out to my car.  I started it up and turned on the radio.  My favorite song came on, Timber by Kesha and Pitbull.  I started bobbing my head up and down as the song played and I turned onto the road.  I was heading for the burger place a few blocks down.  I had been there a few times while I was in this part of the city.  They were the best burgers I'd had in my whole life.  I would never admit it, but I was kind of trying to impress Megamind.  I might not be the smartest or the funniest or the prettiest, but maybe I could be a little gourmet.  

I could see it from a few blocks down, since it had a big blue neon sign in front that read                 B U R G E R S.   I pulled into the tiny parking lot and got out of the car.  The wind was blowing fiercely and I didn't have a coat on.  I shivered as I walked in the warm room.  There were a few other people inside and they looked at me as I entered.  I smiled shyly and got in line behind them.

The man in front of me turned around.

"Hi," he looked down at me, as he was very tall, even taller then Megamind, "You look cold."

I laughed a little and nodded, "Yeah, its pretty bad out there, I'm a little unprepared for the weather," I said, gesturing to my t-shirt.  The man was a little older, but handsome.  He was wearing a sharp suit and he had a manly mustache, but was otherwise clean shaven.   I didn't know why I was blushing.

"Well, you can take my jacket if you like. I suppose you'd look a little silly though."

I laughed and pushed a stray piece of hair behind my ear.  "Oh no, that's ok.  It's pretty hot in here."

"It is now that you're here," he grinned, "my name is Jonathan, Jonathan Kimble, you can call me Jonny."

I giggled uncontrollably for a second and looked down at the floor.  He grinned at me as the person in front of him moved to the side to wait for their food.

"I should order"

"Um, yeah." I couldn't even look at him.  Why was I getting so freaked out.  I thought I liked Megamind, but this guy was just so... smooth, so suave.  He was gorgeous, and apparently he thought I was too. 

"Hello? Can I take your order. Hello? Excuse me, you're next in line."

I looked up and the woman behind the counter was staring at me expectantly.

"Oh sorry, geez, yeah, I'll have two orders of the number 2."

The man leaned over from the other line and whispered.

"Two meals, that's a shame."

Before I could speak the man was being handed his meal and was walking out the door.  And then, all of a sudden-

"Hey, maybe we could...um..."

He walked up to me and handed me his card.  He didn't say a word before walking out into the night, his salt and pepper hair blowing around in the wild winds.  

I took my food and slowly made my way out the door to my car.  I didn't seem to notice the wind as much this time, but I sat in my car and let the hot air from the vents blow in my face for a good five minutes before buckling up and heading back to the lair.  

When I parked my car at the lair, I stopped for a moment to admire the card the man had given me.
