Okay, I forgot that when the siblings got home, Russell called them to his office. See? Out of order. I'm 😜. Anyway, he called them over before anyone showed up and that was why they started tripping.
He told them he was taking Lisa away from her mother, Dana Cavanaugh. He wanted them to attend the trial for it but also a meet and greet with Dana and Lisa for the next week. He expected his will to be done and Maddie had a hard time accepting she wasn't the youngest nor in the loop.
That was when they went back to the Joneses and had their meltdown. I do remember that the spouses were already there. They were there when they left.
Anyway, the next day was devoted to getting Maddie unmad at them. She was truly hurt by her older siblings and wasn't speaking to any of them.
They decided to have a Maddie day, where everything was devoted to the 11 year old.
They made her favorite foods and had her sit through her favorite films and sang her their special songs. I can't remember everyone's but Laura and Mal had the Temptations' and the Supremes' I'm Gonna Make You Love Me, Quinn had Baby Love by the Supremes and Marcy had the Chantel's I Love You So. I think Marc had Raindrops. I can't remember who sings it but I think it was the man who sang Itsy Bitsy Yellow Polka Dot Bikini or whatever. I don't know. It's 2:52AM right now and I've been working for hours. I'm tired and confused.
Point is, they all have songs for her that they used to sing her to sleep or whenever they wanted to so that she'd know it was her song with that person.
Before the day started though, Marcy was making spaghetti and meatballs with cheese (her own made up dish that everyone loved, including the cheese loving Mal) in the kitchen. Someone floated in to talk to her but I think Mal was already in there because he wouldn't leave her side. I think Mercedes came in and they were saying how they weren't fighting but they were angry with each other?
I don't know. I can't remember but I do clearly remember Marcy saying she was making the spaghetti for Maddie. I don't remember the other dishes except Marc made sticky rice.
Go figure.
So anyway, the night went well and they gave Maddie gifts and she cried. She forgave them but refused to be a burden. They quickly disabused her of the notion. They loved her more than anything in the world.
I can't remember how Sunday went but that was how that Saturday went.
