Adelina.

"That goes right in the middle—no, I think it's best to move that to the right." Hearing her voice made me smile.

"Oh, love. Could you please move it slightly upwards?"

I twirled my body to avoid the servants who were lifting huge pots of flowers that were being dragged all over the place.

"The carpet must be lavender, if not pink."

She had her back to me, literally her bare back because she was wearing a backless dress. Napailing ako at hinawakan ang taling nakaladlad sa bewang ko dahil baka sumabit sa mga aligagang tao sa palasyo.

"We still don't have enough daisies, Princess. Aricia Adelina has yet to arri-"

"I'm here." I announced my arrival.

My longtime friend looked at me with bliss while her servants curtsied to me. Iraia flew from where she was to right in front of me.

"Good fairies, you look absolutely stunning!" She praised while tightly hugging me.

"Stop. How could I ever align myself with you?" I shot back, looking around the palace, which has been decorated for several weeks.

And, according to my second sister, Ophelia, the palace has been extremely busy for quite some time due to an event that the Princess desires to host.

"No, dear. How could I, a mere princess, align myself with our very own Aricia?" She looked around at her people and clapped once.

"Quick. Greet your Aricia." She ordered.

Napailing na lang ako dahil muli na namang yumukod ang mga tao para batiin ako.

Aricia is the name by which I and my sisters are addressed, whom they refer to as the 'three jewels.'

We were born by the grace of our ancestors. And so we grew without any seed or water from our parents to make our flowers grow.

We were created naturally, like a flower with only a human body.

Our birth began when the husband of the third queen gave her three jewels in the form of flowers representing the three jewel stones of Navillera.

Daisies for new beginnings and love.

Irises for bravery and wisdom.

Lilies for beauty and purity.

Unlike the other Navis or what we call the people here, they still have mothers who planted their seeds and fathers who watered them until they bloomed from their own flowers. While we simply belong to the royal family, from every generation until we die.

We bless them as a symbol of the jewel stones that bless our realms. We teach them in accordance with our purpose and serve as a light to guide them down the right path.

It is tough, but having a purpose and an identity keeps me going.

"You should rise." I politely smiled.

Binalingan ko ng tingin si Iraia na biglang naging inosente ang tingin sa akin. Ilang beses niya kinurap ang mata bago ako malambing na nginitian.

"What? Now that you've arrived, we can schedule the party for tonight."

There is no need for explanation. I had already assumed that this party was intended for my return. As she did the same thing when my little sister, Eirlys, returned from her trip to the northeastern region of Crestopia, I anticipated she would do so again.
