"KHAZIER ARE you hungry?" Jayda questioned as she rubbed up and down his face as he stared at the blank tv screen in front of him.

"No." He mumbled as the image of the message from Kacey's birth giver flashed in his head. She was not Kacey's mother at all. Jayda's his mother, and Kacey didn't need Senia. "She ain' even wan' him, now she tryna take him from me."

"Nobody's taking him from you." Jayda assured. "Maybe she just wants to see him."

"Then why tha' fuck she ain' come when I begged her to? She knew I was down bad on ma' dick when I came out hea', I begged her to come get him after tha' shit my sister started doin' an' she never fuckin' came." He flashed as he stood up from the bed. "I'm not tryna hea' that shit mane."

"Khazier, calm the fuck down. I just told you nobody is taking him away from you, away from us." Jayda spoke as she stood up from to bed walking towards him. "Why're you being like that with me?"

"Because I'm mad and you pissin' me off even more." He spoke without even thinking. "I'm not even tryna' be mad witchu' mami. Her dumbass had plenty of chances to get him. She been good. Now she see I'm good, now she want him? Fuck on mane."

"Can you calm down please." Jayda spoke as she wrapped her arms around his waist. "I just told you nobody is taking our baby away from us. She has no legal obligation to him anymore, once she signed those adoption papers she signed away all her rights to him. Why you letting her get you so upset papa?"

"Because mami, you so fuckin' open minded mane. She been had the opportunity to get him, I told her everything that was going on with us an' she laughed saying she was coming each time and she never came an' got my baby. He coulda' been good mami an' she didn't even give a fuck about shit we was going through." Khazier explained trying to keep himself from crying once again. He was tired of crying. He remembered that day he called Senia and begged her to come get Kacey like it was yesterday.

"Daddy I cold." The two year old spoke fluently as he laid his head on his dads lap as the two sat in the dark.

Here he was once again, in the cold Utah air with his two year old son. He was three hours late on his rent that was due to his sister and now the two were in the dark for the fourth time the year. The worst part about this time, winter came around so they couldn't just go to the park like they usually would whenever Tee had his lights turned off.

"I know fat man." Khazier whispered as he pulled Kacey in his warm embrace. "You feel better?"

"Yes Da." Kacey smiled as he pecked Khazier's cheek. "So warm."

"I love you, you love me?" Khazier questioned as he placed a small peck on the side of Kacey's face.

"I love you so much Da." Kacey mumbled tiredly, not even knowing he had just made his fathers day a whole lot better.

"How much you love me du?"

"To the moon." Kacey laughed tiredly as he yawned, before closing his eyes. "Night Da."

"Goodnight Du, I love you more." Khazier spoke lowly as he pulled the company issued phone from his pocket. "I love you so much that I gotta' get you away from me Du. I ain' a good fit for you, but your mom is. I promise she gon' love you just as much as I do."

He had been contemplating on reaching out to Senia for about two months now, but now he knew he had to get Kacey out of here. He couldn't let his two year old live like this. He didn't deserve it at all. He knew Senia was doing well for herself that's another reason he wanted Kacey to go with his mother.

He remembered her number by heart, hoping it was still the same he dialed the number before pressing the green button.

"Hello." The soft voice answered after a few rings. He went silently, his mouth went slack not even knowing what to say. "Who the fuck is this playing on my phone?"

"S-senia?" Khazier spoke. "It's me Khazier Ne."

"What? I thought you were in jail." She spoke, trying to hide the anxiousness that laced her voice, fearing that he found out she was the one who set him up to be put in jail.

"Na', I got out a few months ago." Khazier spoke not noting that he knew anything about the day he went to prison making her sigh in relief. "I got Kacey Ne, he so h-"

"What do you mean you got him back?"

"I got our baby back Ne." The eighteen year old spoke softly. "I need your help Senia."

"My help with what Khazier? Why the fuck would you even-"

"Senia we doin' bad as fuck mane, Tee doin' us bad down hea', I'm not askin' you fa' shit but fa' ta' keep our baby for a while Nene." He exasperated. He was tired. Four the past four months, his life had been going down hill. His job cut back his hours and lowered his pay— it was bad enough that he had to catch three buses and two trains to get there, now it was like he was literally working for nothing. His sister had became money hungry, she would cut off his lights if he was even the slightest bit late, he was struggling and he just wanted to save his son before his whole world came crashing down around him. "Please Ne, you doin' good mane, I been seeing you on buildings an' shit— can you just help our baby mane."

Senia was doing quite well for herself. The twenty year old was a social influencer and made thousands of dollars off of hostings and promos. She didn't have enough room for Kacey, she had a boyfriend. He needed help with his kids.

"Sure I'll come Khazier." Senia spoke with a pinch of sarcasm as she lowly chuckled. "I'll let you know when, bye."

And with that she hung up. She also lied as well. She never let him know. She didn't care that her own flesh and blood was suffering, she gave up her parental rights to him a long time ago.

"Khazier!" Jayda called out once again as she waved her hand in his face. "What's wrong baby, I been calling you for five minutes papa."

"I was thankin' about some shit." He mumbled as he rubbed his hand down his face. "You sure she can't get ma' baby? Mami I don't wan' lose my baby— I can't live without my li' boa' mane—"

"Calm down." Jayda spoke as she softly pushed him onto the bed, holding his chin for him to look up at her as he held her waist. "I'm sure she can't get him, I'm positive actually."

The thirty-two year old woman shrugged carelessly. She was absolutely sure about. Nobody was taking their son away from them. She would go to war about those three boys, and if this was the start of war— so be it.

"How you so sho' ma—"

"Because to get to anyone of y'all— they gotta' get through me first." She spoke with a sinister smirk before pecking his lips walking away.
