Tristan had always been a swimming enthusiast. An underwater escapade with friends on weekends, that was the time he always looked forward to. It could describe a tad of his love for the ocean. He fell in love with it years ago, when he, for the first time, zeroed in on its water hues and harmonised it with the colour of her eyes; luminous turquoise. They had a tranquil effect on him, like no other wonder could bring him. So every time when he came here, he'd fallen for it a little more.
"Nice view, buddy, but we aren't going to stay here for eternity." Sebastian, who stood by the end of the yacht's outline, shouted to catch his eyes but couldn't as his friend was profoundly engrossed in his wonderland, with both of his hands holding his clothed waist.
Sebastian sighed defeatedly as the wind threw gust at him with full force. "Earth to Tris!" He tried for the last time and when failed to get an ounce, he strode upstairs and clapped his back harshly once reached behind him, "What is it that swept your hearing ability along with your thoughts?" Sebastian followed the line of his gaze as he threw a sneer.
"Just wondering about Dylan's new project, he is playing a big shot, but don't know why I feel he won't be able to pull it off, you know, due to his lack of experience. I think he should go for a modest project as a test drive," Tristan was quick to shake off Sebastian's slur. But he being his best friend, he knew him better than Tristan did himself.
"Dylan's new project would be the last thing racing in your mind if I be honest," Sebastian's voice halted the train of his thoughts of her, Tristan turned around with a stoic face before his lips gave away the truth. "I knew it, bastard. Get over with your dreamworld fantasy, you deserve thousand times better than a mere vision, someone real to love and fuck,"
Tristan turned his head back to the serene ocean when Sebastian's arm crossed above his shoulders, wondering how many time he had always dreamt of coming here with that turquoise-eyed girl, her brownish lock swirling with the wind as she gave her best grin out, but when would he be lucky enough to get her? When would this torment ever end? Everything around him screamed of her presence yet she was nowhere in his life; more so only resided in his brain.
He let out a deep sigh. Somewhere in his brain had always advocated Sebastian and his mum's stance but then it's all about his heart that had the control over his emotions. He couldn't betray her, even if she lived in his head only. He had this hope he would meet her, as if his heart had vowed to him that she existed. It knew she was somewhere in this world, he just had to find her.
"No, honestly, ponder over it," Sebastian broke the line again.
"You can stop sounding like my mother, Seb," Tristan knew his mother pleaded with Sebastian over provoking him for a rushed marriage. She wanted him to get married as he was her only heir and she wished to see him start a family. But what if he would find her one day and by then, he'd tied himself with someone. What would he do then?
That's what stopped him every time when pursuing a woman.
"I will stop it when you will stop behaving like an asexual and start living your damn life like men of your social stratum,"Tristan feigned to be unbothered by his comment but it did affect him, when he'd repeated it for the thousandth time. It had started to bug the ever-easy man.
"Will see," He hummed and got a genial pull by Seb's arms around his shoulders.
"Are we going to waste our beautiful venturous trip by admiring God's creation from afar and not actually diving deep to get a closer look?" Sebastian asked when Tristan didn't realise his motive of coming to him, though he understood it but needed time to recover from her fantasy.
Tristan's eyes were enveloped behind the dark shades of his Ray Ban which made it hard to guess his response. "So, the answer is no,"
"Let me catch a peaceful breath for a second, birdbrain," Tristan rumbled.
