Once we arrived back at Seabrook word got around about there being werewolves in the forbidden forest the mayor wasn't happy about the situation as the monster laws have just been lifted and now she's putting them back in place to 'keep us safe', keep us safe from what? They haven't appeared in the middle of town ripping people to shreds so there's no need to put the laws back.
Surprisingly so many students cheered once the mayor made it official that the laws are back in place while a bunch of students groaned and muttered to each, I saw Zed's dad mutter something to Zoey as she sat on his lap and Zed on his dads right. My parents didn't turn up to the meeting as they were busy with work and whatnot.
"Mum that is unfair" Addison yelled at her mum.
Zed ran over to Addison but got onto one knee, oh dear lord! I didn't want to see a disaster take hold in the room anymore than it already has, I got up from my seat and snuck out of the room into the large hallway.
Finally, I was outside in the warm air but the peace was soon broken as the sound of screaming and rushing footsteps came from afar, I'm guessing the news spreads faster than I thought. Maybe werewolves did attack, wishful thinking...only for those who deserve it, cough cough, the mayor. Was that too mean?
I didn't want to wait for the others as who knows how long it will take for them to come out here and start heading home but I didn't wanna head home just quite yet so could you guess where I'm going? Yep, the forbidden forest.
{•-•}
I wasn't exactly scared of the wolves as they seem pretty harmless from what I know of but the town was taught nothing about the wolves and what they are like so there are lots we don't know of but it would be nice to know a bit more about them like how we've learnt so much about zombies and their past so maybe it's time to for us to learn about them more instead of being scared of them. However, we also don't know if they are scared of us.
I dragged my feet across the dirt path again for the 4th night in a row, I feel at home when I'm out in the wild, being able to do whatever I want and the air is so fresh out here, the constant smell of pine and oak but something feels a bit different but I don't know what it is.
As I made my way through the forest I swear I felt a pair of eyes glaring daggers into the back of my head, I stopped in my tracks looking around the forest as the darkness started to settle in but if someone was out there staring at me they were good at hiding, could it be the person I caught last night? The bigger question is, how does that person have a similar stone as the one I found?
"Whoever is out there I know you're there, you might as well come out," I said out of nowhere not expecting anyone to come out of hiding. Just as I was about to turn around the sound of leaves rustling against each other started up again, a figure started to come out from behind a thick tree to my left but still covered by the shadows. They were only a bit taller than me and were wearing overalls, I think "who are you? Why do you keep following me?"
"How did you get a moonstone?" The figure asked in return, it was a boy possibly around my age.
"Answer my questions first" I crossed my arms over my chest "who are you and why are you following me?" I asked again.
The boy sighed heavily "My name is Wyatt and I'm following you because I want to know why you have a moonstone" he continued pointing towards the stone around my neck.
I looked down at the stone which is now in my hands "I found it" I said looking back up at him.
"Where?"
"In the forest, it was stuck in dirt so I took it home and cleaned it turning it into a necklace" I trailed off, taking a couple of steps closer to the boy but he stepped further away from me.
He didn't say anything else but just turned away from me and walked back deeper into the forest "hey!" I called after him, rude much.
