9. His Blue Eyes, Like Puddles of Sadness (Angst)

Shinya and Guren had loved each other... Why did it have to happen like this? That was the thoughts going through Guren's head as he held Shinya's dying body in his arms. 

Guren couldn't stop crying, his body shook, he felt as if the world was falling apart around him. He just wanted everything to stop, he wanted to live a life where he and Shinya could be happy together.

"Guren..." Shinya's voice was lifeless.

"Shinya... No no no you can't die you just can't..." Guren's voice shook.

"Haha... Don't cry Guren... This was fate, but don't worry... We'll meet again, in another reality I'm sure..." Shinya coughed as blood dripped from his mouth. The blue in Shinya's eyes was now dull and lifeless. His body was cold.

"Together forever, r-right? Isn't that what you said?" Guren stuttered, Shinya just smiled blankly at him.

"S-Seems like I fucked up this time..." Shinya smiled at Guren and weakly placed a hand on his face, Guren held his hand to his face. "Guren... The story is ending now, the world will come to an end soon... We can die together..."

Guren sobbed harder, it felt like there was a lump in his throat, he couldn't say anything. Guren stared into Shinya's dead-looking eyes, his blue eyes, like puddles of sadness.

"I-I love you..." Those were the last words Shinya had spoken. Shinya's hand fell from Guren's face and his eyes were closed, his heart stopped beating.

"Shinya??" Guren started to panic, he shook Shinya's corpse lightly. "Shinya?!" Guren's eyes were so blurry he couldn't even recognize his dead friend's face anymore. "SHINYA?!" Guren felt as if he were just stabbed through the heart, he held his dead friend's body, and Guren started to whisper; "Please... P-Please... Open your eyes... D-Don't do this..."

Guren wanted everything to disappear, he wanted to be with Shinya. He wanted to be back in that classroom playing Shogi against Shinya and laughing with friends... He wanted to be holding Shinya close to his body as Shinya slept. He wanted to be more than friends.

"I-I love you too Shinya..." Guren sobbed holding Shinya's dead body close to himself, then Guren screamed from the pain, the sorrow. Guren screamed very loud, Guren screamed until he couldn't scream anymore.

Shinya was Guren's comfort, Guren's home, and Guren was Shinya's home. Guren didn't have his home anymore. I can't do this anymore... Guren thought. this wasn't how it was supposed to go

Guren kept holding Shinya, Guren put a hand on Shinya's cold cheek. "You're not alone. I'm staying right here."

Guren laid next to Shinya, smiling as the wound in his chest created an even bigger puddle of blood. Shinya got what he had wanted, they died together, and now they'll be together forever.
