It was late in the evening when you questioned Baji about the incident from a few days ago, regarding the fighting ring, wondering what had happened once Mikey got there the day after. Both of you were having a night in, with no plans whatsoever. Currently, you were sitting on a kitchen chair with one foot propped up on it hugging your knee, while Baji was sitting cross-legged on the couch, playing with a hair tie on his wrist.

"All that Chifuyu told me was that a blond dude was fighting against someone called Kiyomasa; the one you saw that had a scar, remember? Guess he was the leader behind it, like you guessed." You nodded at him, prompting him to continue with his explanation. "Then Draken and Mikey got there, showed Kiyomasa who the real leader was, shut down that shit show, Mikey showed up at Takemichi's school – the blond dude – and now I guess they are 'pals, or whatever."

"Takemichi, huh?" You repeated the name of the blue eyed blonde under your breath, so softly that Baji almost didn't catch it.

So that's his name. I should remember it so that I can ask Suzie if there is anything unusual about him in the archives...

"Hm? What 'bout him?"

"Nothing, nothing, don't worry Baji-san." You waved him off, trying to play it cool, but your acting skills have never been good (as Tae liked to tease you so much about) and Baji could see right through you, knowing there was more to it. Not giving him a chance to interrogate you, you looked around the kitchen trying to find something to help you change the subject.

One glance at the fridge helped you find the perfect excuse; there, stuck with a metal pin, was a flyer with not only big bold letters that read "Musashi Festival", but also the image of a temple and fireworks. Standing up from your chair you made your way towards it and took it into your hand, before turning around so that you faced Baji once again.

"There will be a festival, Baji-san?" Having realised your attempt at changing the subject, Baji's eyebrow twitched in annoyance, but deciding not to push you he stood up from the couch and made his way to you. Now standing directly in front of you, Baji took the flyer from your hand and inspected it.

All the while trying to ignore the flutter of his heart at the close proximity. From where he stood, he could see every little detail from your face; from the way your lashes curled over your eyes to the little imperfections on your skin.

What the hell is wrong with me?

Shaking himself from his thoughts, Baji took a small step back and leaned against the counter, before moving his eyes back to the flyer and read it. "Almost forgot 'bout it. It starts next month." Apparently, you didn't take note of his flustered state, for you mimicked his position and moved your head to try and look at the object in his hands, making so that your arm rested against his and that your head hovered under his chin.
