Summer had arrived at Hogwarts, and that was shown by the boiling night they were experiencing.
Estella had opened the window to her dormitory fully to let any small breeze. She woke up to find herself on top of her covers with Oliver sleeping in a ball beside her.
Another she was exhausted, she lifted up her hand to scratch the cat behind his ears; making him purr loudly. The breaths of the cat tickled her cheek gently.
She kissed the top of his furry head before standing against the window to gaze down at the ground below.
The sun had already risen above the surrounding mountains that protected the castle. The breeze blew her tangled hair behind her as the morning sun shone upon her amber freckles.
However, her head snapped towards the oak door when there was a loud knock before it opened. A smiling red headed girl poked her head through the gap. "Morning my deary." She cheerfully said as she walked in and handed her a cup of hot coffee.
"You're cheerful today." Estella pointed out after thanking the prefect. "I'm cheerful everyday!" She exclaimed with a wide grin painted on her face.
"No. One morning you threw a book at me for being too loud." She pointed out as she pushed a strand of her chestnut hair behind her ear. Lily shushed her as she placed her finger upon her lips.
"Shush. I am a cheerful person." Estella scoffed and sarcastically replied with, "Yeah, sure." Lily let out a groan of defeat. "Just drink your coffee. The girls are all off to this lake Marlene found. Wanna come?" She asked.
"Why not? I feel like doing charity work today." The Gryffindor smirked over her cup, making the red head scowl before huffing and leaving the dorm.
Estella finished her cup of coffee before opening her wardrobe doors. After pulling up a pair of patched up shorts and Remus' old Beatles shirt, she brushed through her messy chestnut hair.
"Estella! Hurry up!" Marlene shouted as she tied up her muddy converses. "I'm here! Don't get your kickers in a twist." Esther ordered as she pushed the door open.
She had only walked down the hallway for a few moments when she began to already sweat. As she twisted her hair around her wand to keep it in a bun, she spotted Fatima walking alone down the corridors.
"Fatima!" She called out. The dark haired girl spun around to see her. "Morning." She smiled as she approached the Gryffindors. "You busy?"
"Well, I was about to study." Estella grabbed her arm and began to drag her along. "Good. So you're not busy. You're coming with us to the lake."
Fatima, who had no time to argue back, continued to be dragged out the castle and down the path that led to the forbidden forest.
"Marlene! How much further!" Mary shouted as she dragged her feet along behind her. "Quit moaning! We are here!" The blonde girl shouted back.
Estella's eyes widened when she saw the rather small but picturesque lake. It was surrounded by leaves, isolated from everything else and the summer sun shone through the gaps of the oak leaves.
Estella slipped her shirt and shorts off to reveal the bikini underneath before jumping into the freezing cold water.
The longer they stayed sun the cold water, the more they got use to it. Estella lay on her back, floating through the water as Marlene and Dorcas splashed eachother.
"Canon ball!" Mary screamed as she jumped in, their legs tightly held upon their body. Estella wiped the water out of her face when she noticed a stag by a tree.
