Estella lay tucked in her bed, her gentle snores echoing off the stone walls as she lay fast asleep. But a sudden heavy knock at her door made her jolt awake.
In a tired groggy voice, Estella shouted "What!". The door creaked open and a soft voice whispered "Morning darling."
From the light flooding in from the open door she was able to make out the smirk plastered of James' face. "Morning! It's fucking 3am!"
James reached forward and yanked the blanket off her. "Come on. Get up. It's time for your first lesson." Estella reached forward and grabbed the covers back, using all the strength she had in her tired arms.
"What bloody lesson!" She exclaimed. "Your animagus one. We can't do it at mid day where everyone can see." He explained to the still half asleep girl.
"So get up," Estella let out a defeated groan as she threw her feet off the bed and stumbled over to her wardrobe. "Turn around." She ordered at James. "Oh yeah, sorry."
Estella flung the doors to the wardrobe open and scanned for something to quickly put on whilst James stroked Oliver who purred softly at the end of her bed.
Once Estella changed, the pair slowly creaked the portrait into the common room open to get to the library. "Wait," James whispered before throwing a cloak around them.
"Wow, well done James. We must be invisible now." She sarcastically announced which made James take the cloak back and wrap it around himself.
To her amazement, James' torso and head had disappeared under the magical cloak. "I take back my sarcasm." She said, an impressed look on her face which made James smirk.
Under the safety of the invisibility cloak, the pair arrived at the library. The animagus books were locked away in the forbidden section of the library which James had frequented many times.
Once they retrieved all the books they needed, the Gryffindors found a desk hidden in the dark corner of the ancient library, by a large window which overlooked the moonlight filled lake.
Estella's first basic lesson on becoming an animagus had stretched on until the amber sun shine through the clouds and over the mountains which engulfed the school.
James' hazel eyes became too squint as the light shone through the glass as a yawn came from next to him. When he glanced over, he saw Estella rubbing her eyes attempting to stay awake.
"I think that's enough. Did you get that all Estel-"
James stopped when he felt the Gryffindor rest her head upon his shoulder as she gently snores away.A warm smile grew upon his lips before placing a small kiss on the top of her chestnut hair.

Estella awoke the morning of her O.W.Ls to the chatter of students and slamming of doors. The sun shone through her small single window which allowed the cool morning breeze in.
When she sat up, she discovered Oliver sleeping soundly on a pile of clothes on the floor of her dorm.
Her eyelids were drooping under the weight of sleep so she got up to fetch herself a coffee. She barely had time to revise, she was too focused on her animagus lessons with James.
Between quidditch, animagus lessons and regular classes she struggled finding free time, and in that free time she was exhausted. She expected low grades but it wasn't her N.E.W.Ts so she didn't feel like it mattered.

A spinning, swirling, sinking feeling awoken within Estella's empty stomach as she lined up to take the exams. She didn't have time to eat breakfast, she instead studied as much ad she could.
