After Master Zion was so kind to drive me back to my new apartment, I exhaled a happy sigh.

Nearly everything I've dreamed of has happened to me, and I haven't even been here for all that long. I locked the door to the apartment and sat down on the couch, leaning back and sinking into it's comfort.

"I should change..." I pulled myself up from the recesses of the couch and shuffled to the bedroom, ignoring the men plastered on the wall staring me down, and grabbed out a pair of comfortable pants Uncle Aiden made for me. They just felt like home.

Speaking of home...

After slipping on the pants I made my way to the small desk, stocked with colorful stationary. I pulled out a sheet of powder pink paper bordered with a cute, fuzzy black dog and yellow confetti. I pulled a black ink pen from the pen cup next to the papers.

I thought about how to go about writing my letter.

'Hello, father' ?

No, too formal.

Hi, dad!'

Too much.

'Hi, father'?

Hmm...but what about the rest of my family?

'Hello, everyone!'

That sounds good.

Hello, everyone!

I know you've been expecting my promised letters, so here's number one! How have you guys been? Please write back when you get the chance.

Me? I've been having a great time. I made friends, tried new food, got a job and my own place in a snap! I couldn't believe it myself, either. What are some things that are different here? Well for one, no one wears a cloak! I've seen other demons and plenty of shifters just walking around, minding their business. And everything is so fast! I went in an elevator for the first time today and it shot off like a rabbit! I felt kind of sick afterwards, but at least it was a new experience.

My friends and I took pictures together today, as well. The one with the orange shirt is named Minjoon, he's very funny! The other is Jiro, his boyfriend. He's a little stern but extremely kind.

One thing I miss about home is the food. Food here is good, but I do miss the stew we had back home. If you could send me the recipe, I'd really love it.
