Tsubaki and I agreed to meet at my favorite Cafe and I asked the squealing Omega host to get me a completely private booth. I sat there and waited for her to show.
I heard the door open with a ding, and a familiar figure walked into the Cafe. She took her chunky black sunglasses off her face.
She looks stunning as always, a black, puffy half-quarter-sleeved blouse, a long black skirt that stopped mid-calf with a high slit up to the thigh, a pink satin scarf that ended just before her knees, a black purse with a pink bow and a pair of black heels.
"Tsu Tsu, nice to see you." She clicked her tongue and rolled her ruby eyes. "I'm not my brother, okay? My name is Tsubaki. Soo-bah-kee. Easy." She gave me a soft hug, her fresh strawberry perfume permeating her. She pat my shoulder and took an elegant seat across from me, grabbing at the menu with her long nails.
"So, business talk time?" I asked, as her eyes scrolled endlessly through the options. "Ssh. No business talk until I get lunch. And dessert."
The waiter finally appeared, and I ordered manicotti and their oldest Cabernet Sauvignon.
Tsubaki rattled off her order of a strawberry and chicken salad, sparkling water, raspberry tea, and the biggest slice of chocolate cake they had. Since the food was going to take a little longer, they gave me the wine first. I uncorked it and poured myself a glass.
"No alcohol today? That's unlike you."
She sighed, looking longingly at the bottle. "I'm pregnant."
"Congratulations." I took a large swig. "I'm sure Liam is ecstatic?"
Liam, her husband is the son of Lust and the lead singer of a punk rock band. They have been trying to have a kid for a while, so I'm sure they're both super excited.
"Well, Liam is a little scared, of course. I am too." The server handed her tea. "Thank you!" She grinned brightly. He stuttered out a 'you're welcome' as his face turned red and walked off awkwardly.
"Does your family know yet?" She shook her head as she took a small sip of her tea. "You're the first person I told. Well, other than Liam."
"Well, I'm sure they'll be excited, especially Belial."
"I know. He's still pissed that Chihiro married Raphael. He was so happy when Liam and I started dating in school."
The food finally arrived, as well as sparkling water with a lemon slice for Tsubaki.
She dug through her salad and scooped up a bite and ate it. "So, who's that cutie incubus? I hope you know that all the Omegas have fallen to their knees and taken to writing upset and downright angry messages about you finally getting a mate."
