A Silent Change

Chapter 2

Katie's POV:
Wispers broke out around the class but they quickly stopped under my gaze. The girl sitting next to marinette rose her hand.
"Yes Alya."
"why can't you speak?"
To most it would sound like just a curious question but I know better. She was being rude and judgmental, arg! I hate girls like her. The pretend to be all nice to people, to get what they want and when something new comes they leave that person in the dirt.
"Alya! You don't just ask people that."
I turned to a fresh page in my book and pulled a pen from my pocket. Writing in big neat letters I then turned the book so that they all could read.
'Why that is is none of your business!' I don't care if I sound rude only a few people in this room are worthy of my trust and this Alya girl definitely isn't one of them.

Marinette POV:
'Why that is is none of your business!'
When I read that I was quite shocked. When I met her she had a warm and welcoming look in her eyes, but now she looks so cold and... scary even. From what I can tell she is very good at judging people. Could it be that- no! No! No! Alya's my best friend! She couldn't possibly be a fake friend, could she? Maybe Kate just got offended by Alyas question. Yeah that sounds right. Alya couldn't have known that what she said was rude. Hmmm mabye I should ask Kate about it later. Yeah that sounds like a plan.

3rd POV:
The day rolled by with out to much issue. People kept on asking Kate questions, but that all stopped when she put her head phones on and turned up the sound to %100. She kept on shooting glances at at Marinette who seemed to be haveing an argument with her self.

By the time it was lunch Kate knew all the fake people from the real ones and was silently plotting their down fall. She knew she had to be careful about this though. Marinette would be hurt when she found out thy almost all her freinds were just using her to get free stuff. She thought for a moment. She heard foot steps coming her way and saw Chloe and sabrina standing in front of her. Kate was sitting under the stairs to try and avoid attention, but of course she just had to attract the attention of the mayor's daughter. Although she had to admit Chloe had her 'perfect life' act down to a T.
"I need your help." Chloe said. Kate raised an eyebrow. "I know you know that mari's friends are fake."
Katie's eyes widened. How did she know?
"I have telepathy." she said simply. Kate noded. Actually she had figered that Chloe had some sort of power by the way she acted. She always seemed like she was hiding something other than the fact that she needed love.
"you 2 and Marinette are secretly best friends aren't you." she thought knowing full well that Chloe could hear her. The girl in question just noded.
"After school can you bring mari to Daddy's hotel? I think it might be best to talk in a more private place" she said.
Sounds like a plan.

Chloes POV:
I like this Kate girl. She's observent and sassy. I'm glad that she's living with Mari. Me and Marinette have secretly been friends without anyone knowing, except sabrina of course, and our perents know. All three of us have powers which is why we get along. I have the power of telepathy. Its pretty cool being able to read minds. However it does mean I know that they are using mari.the tree of us always sort of knew they were fake but she just didn't want to believe it. Now she is starting to have doubts. I disided to talk to Kate, so that she could help us. I know she knows because she's been thinking about it all day. Honestly some of her revenge plans are amazing. I also know that she has powers too, so that's why I told her about my telepathy.

Time skip:
Me and sabrina are carently waiting for Marinette and Kate to get here. When they do arrive things get very awkward very quickly. Then Kate pulled out her note book and turned to a fresh page, before writing something down.
'I'm not going to sugar coat it... Marinette most of your friends are fake.'
