Chapter 1: How

Eji's Pov
2 days before Being shot

I woke up to the sound of running feet. It must have been the guys running all over the place. With Shorter back from the hospital after being treated the base has been more lively. When Ask came to save me and they made Shorter attack me with that Banana Fish thing I was able to knock him out and the guys were able to storm in and free us all. We took him to a hospital and thankfully it didn't spread all the way through his system yet and they were able to get it out. He was in there for a while but he was emitted yesterday. With him back everything is more lively around here. I sat up and stretched and turned looked down to see Ash sleeping with his arms wrapped around my waist. I slightly blushed and brushed my fingers through his hair. I then heard running coming from down the hall and turned. I saw Shorter slide as he tried to stop at the doorway. He then grabbed the border of the doorway and popped his head out.
"Oh you're awake, great."
"Is there something wrong?"
Why were you running?
"I was running cause I was going to wake you up and tell you someone is here to see you."
"Me?"
"It's the nurse who took care of me, but she wants to speak to you."
She said it's "urgent".
"Okay I will head straight down as soon as I get him off of me."
If you didn't know, Ash has a really strong grip and if he is sleeping while holding something you can only get it back if he's awake. His grip is like a gorillas.
"I'll help."
Shorter walked over to me as I shimmed to the edge of the bed. Ash is is really heavy and it was hard to move. Shorter grabbed Ash's arm and pulled one way as I pulled the other way.
"What the hells with this strong grip?!"
"I don't know, but why did he have to latch onto me?"
I then looked at Shorter and counted down.

We then pulled in separate directions again, but it was a bad idea. Ash had woken up and he let go when he yawned. Me and Shorter fell forward onto the ground face down. Ash looked at us confused as we both got up off of the ground.
"Why were you both on the ground?"
"Oh wouldn't you like to know."
We we're trying to get you to let go of Eiji!
Your grip is to strong man.
"Oh sorry about that." Ash rubbed the back of his head. I then turned towards the doorway and began to walk towards it.
"Where are you going Eiji?"
I stopped and turned around.
"The nurse that took care of Shorter wants to see me and she said it's "urgent"."
You stay with Shorter here I will be right back.
"Do you want me to go with you?"
"I'll be fine don't worry."
"Fine...but you better hurry cause I'm hungry."
"Got it."
I then turned back around and left the room. I walked downstairs and saw the nurse sitting at a table with a worried look on her face. I walked up to the table and sat down.
"What did you need to talks to me about?"
"It's about your sister."
"My sister?"
Wait, how do you know I have a sister?!
"She contacted me a while ago saying that she flew your little sister to America."
Wait she moved my little sister? I had almost forgot I never told Ash I had a big sister. I didn't want to tell him about her cause their both gang leaders. I don't deal with my older sisters gang in Japan but they aren't just any street gang. Their gang is worldwide. Some of her gang is stationed in this very city. But why would she move my out little sister here? Their gang is the strongest in Japan so why move her here? Unless something happened and they had to move her here. That would only mean that whoever is the is a big threat. And a threat to them is basically a threat to the whole world.
Ahem*
"Do you know why she moved her here?"
"A gang is looking for you."
"F...for...m...me?"
Why though?
"Cause of your involvement with Banana Fish."

"Where exactly did they move my sister?"
"The country side don't worry."
Fhew*
"Are they also after Ash?"
"Not really but he is in their agenda of people to get rid of."
"So am I on the top of that list?"
"Sadly...yes you are."
"Your sister wants you to move there with your little sister."
"Hell no."
I can't leave Ash here.
"I know you care about him, but if you stay here with him......their going to have a bigger reason to go after him."
"Your sister said if something bad happens and she has a good enough reason to force you to stay with your sister then she will resort to that option."
But for now she will let you stay with him.
"Thank you."
"I must be on my way I have some Patients to check up on."

"Oh also give these to Shorter."
She Rustled through her bag and pulled out some papers.
"Here this is his results."
I paid the bill so don't worry about it.
"Thank you so much."
"Don't worry about it."
"What's your name?"
"My name is Sadie heartfeild."
"Heartfeild."
"I know it's funny that I'm a doctor and my last name is Heartfeild."
"Thanks again Sadie."
"No need to thank me I was just doing my job."
And with that she had walked out the door and left. I walked up the stairs and walked into the room where Shorter and Ash were fighting.
"What's going on?"
"Oh we were just fighting to see who's stronger."
I then walked to Shorter and rolled the paper into a tube. I then bonked Shorter and Ash on the back of the head.
"Shorter you were emitted from the hospital yesterday you need to take it easy still."
"Fine."
Shorter walked to the couch and plopped down. Ash soon followed as I walked over to do the same.
"So what did you two talk about?"
"About how much of a annoying patient you were."
"WAIT REALLY!"
"No, we were talking about your results here you go."
I handed the papers to Shorter and watched him skim through with Ash.
"These results are great!"
"Wait how much was it to get Shorter treated?"
"Don't worry the bill was paid for already."
Skipper and Ash looked at each other then back at me.
"WHEN?!"
"By the nurse."
"Why would she do that?"
"She said cause since we went to her she was able to use some of the Banana Fish that was extracted and begin making an antidote to cure it on people who were given it."
"That's great!"
Eiji I-
Ash tried to say something but it was interrupted by his hungry stomach.
"I'll go make breakfast don't worry."
I stood up and walked to the kitchen.
"You guys need to eat for energy cause we may need it who knows."
How should I tell them? More importantly him? I can't think about that right now. I'll figure it out later. I've got a bunch of time to think about it.
