Eddie almost jumps at the sight of me walking back into the boat house. "am I really that scary?" I say trying to make him laugh. "oh no no, i'm just on edge. After what happened to chrissy, everyone thinks I did it." he says chuckiling at my joke. He smiles and I could feel my face getting hot. "I just thought I should stay back, I get car sick too." I say smiling. He smiles back "Thanks, but I don't think I got your name." He says trying the smile into a small smirk. "Laura byers." I say keeping it short. "I know yours, eddie. Dustin wouldn't stop talking about you." I say trying to start a conversation.
"Is that so? Dustin Henderson." He says looking out the window and walking towards me. "Aren't you wheelers friend? Nancy?" he asked looking into my eyes. "yeah, why?" I say scared he didn't like nancy. "so your like the queen of hawkins. Laura byers, hanging out with the freak." He says making weird hand movements. "Is that what everyone calls you?" I ask concerned. "Yeah pretty much." he says smiling. "Your not like what i'd thought you'd be, eddie." I say smiling back. "yeah you too, I thought you'd be a complete freak." he says sarcastically. "I could tell by the way you jumped when I walked in." I say sarcastically back. He was kind, not at all what i'd thought he'd be. Soon the rest of the gang gets back. "Did anybody come looking for you?" dustin says carrying food. "no, just me and byers." he says grabbing the food and looking at me. "I enjoyed having someone here." he says looking into my eyes. "yeah, no problem." I say blushing. "okay love birds, we have a serious situation going on." dustin says throwing his arms to his sides. We all decide to leave and come back tomorrow morning. I flop down on my bed. Jonathan comes into my room. "Do you actually like eddie?" He asks "Just let me sleep." I say coving my face with my pillow. Then before i knew it i woke up to steve honking is car horn at our house. Mom must have left. Jonathan and will were sleeping threw the honking. I get up and run to the car. My hair must have been really bad this morning because everyone leaighed when they saw me. I rolled my eyes " help me wake up will and jonathan. I'm going to brush my hair and the door was unlocked you guys." I say to the group. Dustin, steve and robin come in to help. " we still need to stop by to get lucas, max and the wheelers." robin says. "well you guys should have picked them up first." I brush my hair and robin keeps me company. "are you and eddie a thing? how long has it been going on?" She says really fast. "no robin, we aren't a thing. I barely know the guy." I say finishing my hair. Steve and dustin wake up will then jonathan.We all hop into the car and pick up the others. "oh my god steve, you really need a bigger car if your going to pick up all these people." dustin said.  "i didn't know this was going to happen dustin." Steve said annoyed. We were really cramped in here. I was sitting by Jonathan and will. I got stuck in the middle. We finally got to the boat house and snuck inside so no one saw. We greet Eddie and make up a plan to go to skull rock. I walk with Eddie and Nancy. everyone else is a little ahead. Then Nancy catches up with Jonathan and left me here with Eddie. "just me and you byers, look at at Henderson and Harrington." He says pointing to dustin. He was holding a compass and and Steve and him were pointing different directions looking lost. "they always disagree on everything. I don't know how they stand each other. Yet they are like best friends." I say looking at Eddie. "well Henderson is pretty cool, not when you put him in charge, definitely don't put him in charge." he said looking back at me. "yeah definitely not, but yeah he's always been one of my favorites." I say. Before we know it we make it to skull rock. "we should hangout more often byers." Eddie says, maybe a little too loud "guys, are you serious." Steve says trying around. "what? this isn't the end of the world." I say back. I don't think it is at least. It could be, but we just have to hope it's not. "well we just don't know that do we." Steve says. "yes Eddie we should hang out more often."  I say smiling at eddie and catching up with steve and the others. Eddie soon follows. He talks to steve about something, but i ignore them.
