I woke up to the usual noise of my alarm, blaring through my phone speakers. I slowly sat up, sitting for a bit to let my eyes adjust to the bright light seeping through the curtains before swinging my legs round to the side of my bed and pressing my feet firmly down onto the ground. I stood up, shifting all my weight onto my feet, wobbling a bit before catching my balance. I slowly took a few steps over to the other side of the room until I was standing in front of the full length mirror. I let out a long, loud sigh as I saw my reflection in the mirror in front of me. I look awful! My eyes scanned my mirrored reflection up and down a few times, picking out all the imperfections (there were a lot!) before I slowly shuffled away from the mirror and towards the bathroom. I undressed then went into the shower, enjoying the sensation of the hot water running down my cold body until it turned warm. I washed my hair then turned off the water. Once I had dried my hair I curled it with my curling tongs. I then quickly applied some natural foundation, covered my eyelids with a smokey brown eyeshadow, then put a flick of black eye liner symmetrically on each eye, put a few coats of mascara on then got changed into my work uniform. I quickly brushed my teeth before leaving my room. I was in a really good mood today because I only had to work until 2:00 because it's SATURDAY!! Which means HALF DAY!
I have been at work for 3 hours now and nothing is happening, I have only answered one phone call! They don't even need me here. "Lucyyyyyy!" I heard coming from the other side of the lobby "Lucyyyyyyy!" I heard again. I looked up to see George skipping towards me with a massive grin plastered on his face. Once he was standing in front of me he continued to shout "Lucyyyy! Lucyyyyy! Luc-"
"George your right in front of me you don't need to shout!" I told him.
"Lucyyyyy Lucyyyy" he spoke looking smug because I told him not to shout so he spoke it instead. I heavily sighed.
"Yes George?"
"HI!" He yelled at me.
"Ok so you came down here shouting my name across the lobby just to say hi?" I asked laughing at the thought of it.
"Nope" he replied popping 'P'
"What is it th-" I was interrupted by the hotel phone ringing. I looked up at George about to give him the 'hold on a second' look so I could answer the phone when I noticed his hand moving towards the phone and before I could do anything it was to late.
"Hello George here" he grinned, I could hear a muffled voice on the other end of the phone speaking back to him but I couldn't hear properly what the were saying.
"I'm a monkey" he replied, I face palmed myself before trying to grab the phone off him but he held his hand out so I couldn't reach it.
"I also love bananas!" He said excitedly. "Do you like bananas?........ Do you like Monkeys?........... WHAT?!? how can you not like Monkeys?........... I'm sorry but I refuse to talk to someone who doesn't like monkeys!" He finished off the conversation by slamming the phone down.
"She was so rude!" He told me.
"George! You just hanged up on a possible booking!" I said trying to be serious and not laugh because I actually found the conversation really funny.
"We'll I'm sorry but she said she didn't like monkeys, I just can't talk to someone who doesn't like monkeys!" He said trying to act all diva. I couldn't hold my laughter in anymore, I burst out laughing and George soon joined in but with more of a giggle than a laugh. Once we had both stopped laughing I managed to speak.
"George why did you actually come down here, I mean you have the show tonight you should be rehearsing" I said to him.
"Well I came down here to present you with these on behalf of all of Union J" he got down on one knee trying to be posh and handed me an envelope, I was laughing at how dramatic the presentation of the envelope was. I took the white envelope from George's hand and opened it to see a ticket for the Xfactor live shows and a back stage pass.
"Front row and back stage pass, your welcome" he said seeming all chuffed with himself.
"Aww you boys shouldn't have that's so nice of you, thank you" I thanked George pulling him into a tight hug, he wrapped his warm arms around my back and gave me a quick squeeze before letting go.
"Well we wanted you to come and we can easily get tickets!" He laughed
"So what time should I come?" I asked trying to look for the time written on the ticket somewhere.
"Um come at about 4:30? We want you to come back stage before the show" he said excitedly.
"Ok that should be fine because I get off work at 2:00" I smiled.
"Great, well I probably should be rehearsing like you said, and you might want to phone that laddie back so see ya tonight?" He laughed when he mentioned the laddie on the phone.
"Yeah see ya tonight" I laughed, thinking about what the laddie was going to say when I phoned back. With that George walked back to the other side of the lobby and into the lift.
Ok it's 10:15 so that's 3 hours and 45 minuets until I'm finished my shift woooooh! Roll on tonight!
