Talk about awkward

I walked down the corridor towards Josh's room.

Wait.

What if George says something to Ella about me being with her. I quickly took a left turn down the corridor towards Ella's room. What will I say without telling her about Josh. Because I was rushing trying not to be too late for josh I approached Ella's door and knocked.

Shit.

Why did I knock strait away I have no clue what I'm going to say.

"Hey Lucy!" Ella beamed when she saw me standing at the door.

"Hi Ella, um I need to be quick but can I ask you a favour?"

"Course! What's up?" She replied cheerily.

"Um if George asks, I was with you tonight, don't ask why because I can't tell you, just tell George I was with you please?" I rushed, begging.

"Um ok, what's going on Lucy?" Ella asked a bit concerned.

"Thanks El, love ya" I yelled as I ran off down the corridor without answering her question.

I knocked on Josh's room door.

No answer.

I knocked again and heard people talking. There's someone else in there. I was about to walk away when the door opened.

"Lucy?" The recognisable voice answered.

George.

"Oh George... There you are!" I thought quick on my feet. Pretend I was looking for him.

"I thought you were going to see Ella?" He asked confused as to why I wasn't with her.

"Oh she had to go... Speak to... The Xfac- ... stage manager... About the staging... For her performance." I lied awfully. "And I went back to your room and you weren't there so I thought you might be here"

"Well you thought right" he smiled "come in, were just watching TV, Josh won't mind" George said grabbing my hand and leading me into Josh's room.

"Oh hi Lucy" Josh smiled awkwardly and when George wasn't looking mouthed 'i'll explain later'

"Josh Lucy's gonna chill here with us, you don't mind do you?" George said sitting down on the bed and pulling me onto his lap, oblivious to the awkwardness in the room.

"Course I don't, why don't we get Jay and JJ to come down too, we can watch a film or something?" Josh suggested thinking that will make it less awkward.

"Yeah I'll go get them" George said, slipping me off his lap and walking out of the room.

Me and Josh sat in silence for about a minuet before he broke it. "I'm sorry Lu he just arrived"

"That was so close. I told him I was looking for him"

"Good idea, we need to be more careful next time"

"Next time? I don't know Jo-" I stopped as I heard a nock at the door.

"We both know there will be a next time" he smirked then answered the door.

Ok guys I know I haven't updated in ages and this is really short but I have an excuse.

Right now I'm lying on a beach in Sardinia (Italy for those who don't know) and I don't have any wifi here so I've turned in my data just for you guys! This is gonna cost a lot 😩. Anyway I want to say a lot right now but I can't because my phones about to die. I will do a proper update when I get home.
