**Actually kind of love this one, makes my heart flutter when i reread it. This one is based on Lemon Tree Hongjoong because he lives rent free in my head all the time 😌

You and Joong were sat facing each other on the floor near your window, legs crossed and his fingers gently caressing your own. You were staring out at the window. He had found you like this a while ago and had sat next to you.

"I need to tell you something..." You said softly, your voice barely above a whisper. You had started the conversation in English as you knew it would be easier to tell him this way.
"What is it?" He said in the same tone of voice. The stars shone on his clear rimmed glasses and his orange blush almost glowed in the moonlight. His face was soft as he looked down at your intertwined hands, he was racking his mind for the right words to use in preparation to reply to what it is you had to say. You felt bad that he had to do this but you would be unable to find the correct words in his own language.

"I don't want to ruin what we have. Our friendship i mean. Ever since we met you have been my closest friend. We've been through a lot together. But i can't not tell you any more. I like you Joong. And not as a friend. As more. No matter how hard i try i can't not... I- I cant help but want to be with you every day. To hug you... but not as a friend. I want to be with you." You tried to make the sentences easier for him as you poured out your heart. You could only hope he would understand.

It took a minute for him to reply.
"I didn't know that... you liked me... like that?" He said trying to find the words, frowning as he thought back in his sentence, the words he used more than once obviously getting in the way of his confidence. "Is that right?" He said looking up at your face. He leant closer to you. "Correct me in English if i'm wrong... Please." He whispered in your ear, and you both laughed as he pulled away.
"Yeah, it was perfect. You could have said 'I didn't know you felt that way.' or even just 'I didn't know.' but that wouldn't have been as sweet." You smiled at him as he looked satisfied with himself.

"I'm sorry..." You whispered looking at your hands.
He stood up still holding both of your hands and pulled you up after him. You both stood drowning in the moonlight as you looked into each others eyes. His hands slowly met your waist as your own rested just below his shoulders. He leaned his forehead against yours and in the lowest whisper he could manage he reassured you.
"It's okay."

He closed his eyes and smiled. You stared at his closed eyes in shock. You didn't know if he felt the same or whether he just didn't care about your crush on him.

Sensing your hesitation at making any movements. He once again looked into your eyes. He began to lean in and it was almost as if everything moved in slow motion. You stood on your tiptoes as your lips met his. He smiled into the kiss. The thoughts in your head were quiet as your questions were answered. And for the first time in a while, you felt calm.

He pulled away and his forehead once again met yours.
"Thank you." He whispered.
"For what?"
"For confessing first." He sighed and laughed.
