~ Sleepy Mornings

You slowly opened your eyes and let them adjust to the light. The sun gently peeked through the blinds, slightly lighting up the room. You squinted and rubbed your eyes before turning over and snuggling into the covers.
In front of you, your boyfriend lay still fast asleep. His hair messy and his eyebrows furrowed. He was cuddled next to one of his plushies. The only things you could hear were his light snores and the birds chirping outside.

You brought your body closer to him and smiled. You placed a soft kiss on the tip of his nose and quietly laughed as he scrunched it.
"Sannie, wake up." You said just above a whisper, dragging the last vowel of his name.
He simply hummed in response before he placed one hand on your waist and pulled you in. His other arm was positioned so that you lay on his bicep and he lay on his hand. The plushie being squished between the two of you.

"Good morning." You said in English.
"Good morning." He replied the same, his morning voice hoarse and his accent strong. It never failed to give you butterflies. Neither of you could recall when or why this became a joke or a habit between you two, greeting each other in English and not Korean, but it was the same every morning.

"Time to wake up?" You asked him, already guessing the answer.
"Five more minutes." He snuggled into the crook of your neck and you laughed because you were right.
He yawned and gently kissed your neck. "Do we have much to do today?" He asked quietly."
"Hmm, i'm not sure. Why?"
"So i can do this." He said before rolling to rest on top of you. His head still in the crook of your neck, and both his arms wrapped around your waist. The plushie was abandoned to the other side of the bed as you laughed and tangled your hands in the hair on the nape of his neck.
"Sannie-" You said dragging out his name.
"Shhhh, sleep now, talk later." He said in English. You giggled at his choice of reply and gave in.
"Fine. Five more minutes..."
