Wrong things (Matthew x reader)

Chapter 10: A Vacation

The next trip, you went together. It was a gorgeous beach, the one where when the waves hit the shore it looked magical. You all got rooms on the same floor. You noticed that everyone's were a few rooms apart from each other, you assumed it was in case anyone had sex, including you and Matthew.

There were lilies in the room and for some reason the complimentary clementines made you ridiculously happy. James had rented out the whole hotel for the week. Sometimes you wondered if the brother's enthralled people to end up in the positions they are in. Except Matthew, because he ended up a CEO with you.

You noticed the hotel had lilies everywhere. You took advantage of the whole hotel being rented out and you ran around everywhere and waited for matthew to find you. He always found you too quickly tho.

"We should all play hide and seek!" You said happily.

The brothers looked baffled except for matthew since he pretty much suggested this idea.

"Oh yeah! It'll be so fun since we have the whole hotel."

"Okay but Irene and Erik have to be on the same time since they are bonded." Sam blinked.

"Cool, then matthew can be on my team, he always finds me too quickly anyways." You smiled jumping on his back.

".....okay fine." Sam pouted.

"Matthew and I can seek next round and you and Damien can hide." You said. "But for this round me and matthew are hiding!"

"Okay, then we'll wait 10 minutes, go hide." James said.

Everyone scattered, except you and Matthew. Matthew had found a good hiding spot, it was a small supplies closet, the cleaning product would block out any scent they could pick up on. You turned off your brain and just hugged Matthew.

"Don't think about anything okay, otherwise Damien will find us really easily." He whispered.

"Okay." You said. You just stood there, you weren't thinking, you were just standing there. You could hear footsteps for a second and they stopped by the door. They continued however shortly after.

"James." You mumbled. "I can tell because of his shoes and the way he walks."

"Why did you memorize the sound of my brother's footsteps?" He asked.

"I do that with everyone, I did it as a kid so I'd know if my dad was angry or happy, if it was my dad or mom." You shrugged. "So now I just commit everyone's footsteps to memory."

"....okay, fair, can't argue with that." He shrugged. You yawned a bit. You both ended up sitting down and playing stupid quiet games like Rock Paper Scissors.

"Why did you guys take so long to find?" James opened the closet.

"Oh shit, I stopped not thinking." You laughed to Matthew.

"It's fine, we've been here for 30 minutes anyways, it was starting to get hot." Matthew shrugged.

"They stopped thinking, it's a cool trick that Matthew taught y/n purely so that I wouldn't be able to read her mind when she was thinking concerning things, whether that be sexual or just weird." Damien laughed.
