꧁3꧂- Freezing

Albedo kept climbing to the top trudging through the fresh snow that had just snowed down upon the ever so cursed mountain.

His breaths visible in the cold air his frost bitten face flushed. He felt a pang of pain in his chest and clutched his shirt tightly breathing through his slightly chapped lips. His legs felt weak under his body as if he was about to collapse any second now. He glanced at his skin and stopped in his tracks stomach dropping rapidly.

He bit on his lower lip rolling up his sleeve. A greyish-blue colour was visible instead of his usual pale chalk like skin.

Earlier this day he was testing and playing around with his experiments and something happened and made him hit his head violently. He remembered waking up and feeling for any wounds or anything feeling nothing and just moving on.

His skin now looked sickly as if deprived if life. He suddenly took a shakey breath feeling suddenly the freezing cold on his skin. He lost track of time. How did he get there? Why... Was he there? He had no idea.

"So.... Cold?.."

It was rare for him to feel cold. He looked at himself not seeing his coat on him.

He hugged himself trying to warm himself up. His body shaking violently as he rubbed his shoulders repeatedly feeling some sort of comfort in it.

Suddenly he passed out his frozen body falling to lay upon the soft snow.

Aether walked through the thick snow. A snowstorm had hit the night before drowning Dragonspine in the waterfall made up of snow. The white flakes falling on his hair and then melting shortly after.

Paimon flew up and down a curious look flashing on her face for a split second. She looks as if she was debating on telling the traveler about it or if she and he sholud ignore it and move on.

Finally she huffed and flew in front of Aether making him stop abruptly.

"Aether!"

"Huh..."

This wakes Aether out of his mindless wandering up to the top of the mountain for silver ore.

"What's the issue there Paimon?"

"Well um... Paimon saw something in the snow. It... Sort of looked like a person too."

"You sure? It could've been anything you know?"

"Ohhhh~ but Paimon is worried.. What if it is a person?!"

" *Sigh* Sure I'll go and check for your sake ok?"

"Yippie!"

She exclaimed happily clapping her hand's.

He walked of the dirt trail and made his way to where Paimon said she saw the mysterious figure in the snow.

Suddenly he saw a shoe just barely poking out. The face if whoever it was covered by a tree branch.

Aether quickly crouched down and shuffled over examining their face. A gasp escaped his lips as he saw Albedo's face poking out from under the tree branch and bit of the tree needles stuck and tangled up in his messy snow filled hair.

He lifted him up genetly as if making him sit up and then he shook of the snow. Paimon was flying around worriedly when an idea struck her.

"Oh Paimon knows! The campfire a bit down that we passed few minutes ago!"

"Good idea let's get there as quick as we can he is absurdly cold."

He walked in front of him and placed his hands over his shoulders and then genetly got a hold of his thighs standing up slowly as to not slip and drop the unconscious alchemist.
