Chapter 39

Now home, nothing much happens after, they did notice that Aaron and Valentina were in a good mood

Xinyi decided to sleep in Cyrus and Val's room Val said she can just sleep on the floor while Cyrus and Xinyi could share

Mellisa and Aphmau decided to cook for tonight's dinner

The others were minding their own business, till a knock was made, Val said she'll get it

When she opens the door, it was a bright blue-haired woman, she looks muscular, though she looks beaten up...Val blushed

She focuses on what's happening "uhm...do I know you? And are you alright?" She asks, trying to reach out "where are they?..."

Travis walks where Val was to see a familiar person at the door, His eyes widen, and sprinted to them

Val has been pushed aside though it was a small nudge "Katelyn!??" He said, alerting the others

"Val tells them Katelyn is here please-" Val did as that and went to the others "Where were you?..." He said his eyes watering

He hugs her and she flinched "I...im sorry, I couldn't tell you," She said as soon as the others came luci told them to come inside

"Katelyn? Oh my god... it's you! Why..." Aph noticed the scars and bruises "..." She glares at the bruises she didn't look up at her

"who harmed you." She said Katelyn couldn't speak...

She was the second strongest in the group, finding her this beaten up and silent is... Worrying

"Look... I know where Ein is! I know he's alive-" She said, making Aaron listen closely "he the reason I escaped...I managed to escape-" Travis held her hands "look, Katelyn...you need to calm down first, let's treat your bruises first alright? Your hurt..." He said

The two of them sat down, "I'll have to keep eye on the food, Mellisa can you please take the medical supplies we have? and Val can you try and find some clothes for her to wear?"

She shots up, "oh- uhm, alright I'll do that, I think I have a few" She hurried out and left

"Katelyn..." The others left to do their things, Aaron was still near though he was preparing the plates "Travis... Look, I know our sudden breakup was sudden but...you have to understand" Travis's heartaches

"I...I appreciate that you still try but... Our relationship isn't going to work anymore alright?..." He narrows his eyes

"I know... I just, I do understand, I just want you to know... That even if you don't love me anymore, doesn't mean you have to leave and blame yourself"

"I understand that you only stayed because you felt bad, that if you leave me, means you didn't care anymore"

He squeezed her hand "but that doesn't mean I would not understand, you don't have to run away alright? I'm still your friend, even though we're not a couple anymore..."

"I'm still here, and I won't hate you..." Her eyes started watering
"I'm sorry... I'm so so sorry Travis" She hugs him and Travis let it happen, he pats her back

As soon as Val and Mellisa came back, even though they heard the convo, they decided not to bring it up

When she was clean and scars were handled, they made sure she ate first, the others let her rest

But Aaron was interested, so he approaches her

"Hey uhm, Katelyn?" He sits down with her

She looks at him, confused "are you alright now? Or does it still hurt?" He asks, she looks at the bandage "it doesn't hurt much...it does still ache tho" She sighed

"You interested in how Ein helped me escape...right?" Aaron nodded "well when I first saw him being dragged to the floor I didn't realize that it was him"

"Not until he was set on the other room, the same room as I was, just that he has a glass and all white walls, with no windows, mine doesn't have either"

"When he woke up, he screamed, banging the wall, that's when I realized it was him" She looks at the floor "I didn't know he was still alive... I freaked out a bit, but I was ready to fight him if he ever does shit"

"Not until I heard him say your name along with aphs"

"I don't know what happened, but I do think their ganna do some experiments on him," She says

"He did get out, but Michael wasn't there yet, he knew how to fight back, he has beaten up two soldiers, and making them pass out, ripping the others head"

"I didn't understand, he was full of rage, he realized I was there, his eyes were glowing with anger and urge to kill" She Shivers "he wasn't smiling this time, he was angry"

"Not like those other times..."
'What does that mean?..' Aaron thought through his head

"He took the card and swiped it, to the lock of my room, opening it, I was prepared to strike him"

"But he just...let me go, letting me walk out free, when I was out, he spoke"

---*Katelyn's flashback :)*---

"Hey. Katelyn." I stopped as I hear his voice, and turned towards him slowly, with a glare in my eyes, still aware of him being an enemy

"Tell the others...to keep an eye out alright? I know where they are...I could tell you" My eyes soften, wondering why...

He was helping.

He took a paper and pen, started writing on it, and gave it to me

It was an address

"Make sure to be quiet alright?"

I look up at him "why are you helping me?..." I ask

His eyes were still glowing "that's the least I could do...unless that's the last thing I could do, so you better not fail. I hate failures"

Turning around and grabbing a gun

"Go."

Aaron was listening closely, it looks like Ein was going to try and fight all of them

Aaron has doubts about him not winning and still get outnumbered "thanks for telling me Katelyn...you can tell us where the location is tomorrow alright? Don't rush it" He said and smiled at her

Everyone was now in their rooms

Others are already asleep some are still taking a small bath some are probably eating snacks

Aaron... Was uncomfortable
Uncomfortable from how empty the room he was in was right now

He was alone

And he has nothing to do

He wears his t-shirts on and hurried to bed

He was still far from the truth, from all the memories he still has to discover

Only his high school history of him and Ein are the only things he knows... What about the rest?

He was tired, he yawns and sets his timer, the room was cold

He snuggles up to Eins pillow, trying to warm himself soon he fell asleep...

He opens his eyes, everything was bright he was confused

'Where am I?..." He was startled by how he can hear his voice from thought then he hears a piece of metal-like jewelry clutching its way to him

It was fast...he gets pinned to a wall, by a person

Aaron focuses his eyes, to see someone with royal-like clothes

With a fluffy fur coat around his shoulders, a sharp pointy dagger pointed at him at the neck

His eyes widen, and he becomes stiff he couldn't move a single muscle

The male in front of him speaks
