On 24th February 2016, Mr. Kareja's funeral took place. People from all over the world came to pay their last respects to Mr. Kareja. The whole family was present over there, along with the chief minister of Himachal Pradesh, the Governor, the Police Department, Holmes, and me.
Later, the body was taken to the funeral grounds and last rites were performed. Along with it, a huge garden was inaugurated near the Anti Villa, open to the public. This garden was designed in honor of Mr. Kareja, with his work and life. It had one of the rarest plants and flowers planted around Mr. Kareja's statue.
With this, the final rites were performed.
The next day, the lawyer came to read the final will of Mr. Kareja to the family. Holmes and I were specially requested to be present over there.
The will stated,' My dear friends and family, it is a very sorrowful day, that I have left all of you behind and gone down my heavenly road. I leave my money to be equally distributed among my family and Mr. Holmes. The astronomy tower and the study room will be given to Mr. Holmes and the top floor is to be converted into a museum. The property grounds have to be maintained as they are and to be made fully operational for use by family and staff. The company policies remain the same, and in my place, Mr. Holmes will be sitting over there. Rest, that is left is love for every single individual who has ever crossed my path and life.'
