Later, that evening, as I was sitting with Holmes. I thought that it might be the right time to fill the empty voids in the course of events. But, after the course of events that took place, I thought rest will be good for Holmes.
On seeing me in a dilemma, Holmes asked me what I was thinking about. After telling him, he just smiled. He said, " My dear Paul, telling you and clearing your doubts is one of the most favorite leisures that I have in my collection. " Then, I asked him to tell me about everything that has taken place between the day we arrived back from the Anti Villa to this date,
Holmes started by saying," My dear Paul, after we returned from the Anti Villa, I knew that something was missing from that place. I knew that while I was there, someone was also messing around the house. As I conducted the interrogation, I saw that many secrets were hidden in his library. Now, entering it was a very deep problem as, you have to know the basis on which he has put the code, and what stream of his basis has he kept it on. I was just thinking about that when you came and gave your report on the psychiatric treatment I had done a week ago. That just accelerated my steps, as you said that there was a common point, regarding the strict security measures taken by Mr. Sharma just before and after the death of Mr. Kareja. So, I went to Anti Villa and went directly to the study room. The door of this room indeed had marks, showing the sign of forced entry being tried. But, the only thing that the intruder might not have known was that Mr. Kareja always kept the combinations stored in his library setting. I just had to find that combination stored in his library setting. I just had to find out the combination, which took an hour or so, and then I was in. Inside, I went directly for the records written by Mr. Kareja in the past 6 months of his life about his family, estate, staff, and business. Here, he had many fights, but the fights with his home staff and a few business rivals were not mended. So, the list from thousands was reduced to only five. I knew that Mt. Kareja was very proud of his work and often mocked someone if he/she tries to be something that according to him, he/she is not capable of. But, here he is mostly right or you might say successful in doing so. Then, I searched the whole place, for the stones and found them completely cut, shaped, and polished. Later, came out and changed the password of the door.
After that, I went to meet the lawyer and read his will. The will has something unique, that even you might find interesting. Then, the only task remaining was to find the culprit. Here, Mrs. Kishore played a major role, and then you know the rest."
On hearing this, I asked him," Holmes, how did you open the door? Where did you get those sculptures? How did you know where to sit? And how did you presume that it was a home staff member?"
Holmes said," As you know, Mr. Kareja was a famous jeweler. So, he kept a key point in all of his stones, that was the angle at which he placed the cuts. He always wanted uniformity and to maintain the angles so that each stone gave a godly effect. But, for his recent stones, he wanted something more. In such a way, they surpass every single form of jewel and no one in the world would ever find out about this unique set of angles. I just knew this ideology and tried to find out those angles in books. As for the sculptures, I got those from the offices of Kareja Jewels and got them shaped, and lived. They were created by Goel. He also has quite a good hand on stones. And as for narrowing the suspects to three, that was done after I revisited the study and found another set of marks, showing signs of forced entry. That assured me that it was done by someone within the premises.
With this, the mystery came to an end. And Holmes went to his library to complete his journal.
