Chapter Eleven

Gina lay on her bed thinking of nothing in particular.
She’s been weeping and now nothing is coming out. She held the tissue on her left while her right held her head on the pillow.
Baby started whimpering but she was too weak to get up.
Stephanie knocked the third time, “Gina, its evening and you’ve not eaten. Get over it, all men are the same, you know that and mum is worried, you don’t want her on your case”, she said and left.

She had come earlier, telling her that Chris was about to leave, she came back to tell her that he apologized after waiting for her for too long.
Nora came once and apologized with a bitch voice and left.
Gina didn’t care abit about what's going on outside.

Seth actually cheated on her and he dared to sleep on the same bed with her and smile with his teeth to her and kiss her.
She started all over again but she has lost all her strength. She cried more when Baby started her own crying.
She got up and carried her, still crying.
She bathed her and dressed her.

While she made her meal, her eyes fell on the pictures again and she started crying.
“that b*stard”, she said it without strength, as if she didn't mean it.

He shouldn’t have married her if he would cheat on her with that red b*tch. She thought crying.

After feeding Baby, she dropped her in her bed and went to take her bath.
While she took her bath, she remembered her first kiss with Seth. It was in the bathtub. He had helped her into the tub and everywhere was just so romantic and they had kissed.
Throughout the surrogacy period and their first two years together, she always craved for his attention even when they were lying on the same bed. It was hard to know what is on his mind and all along, he was just playing her?
She took a deep sigh and wrapped her towel around her body and went into the room.
Could it be that this is still all about the inheritance?
Did he marry me cause of his inheritance?

She stood before the mirror, staring at herself.
What do I lack as a woman
I am pretty, I am a woman like every other woman.
What do I have that Kate doesn’t have?
Money?

She took the pictures and stared at them again, just to be sure that its Seth.
After a minute she put it back into the envelope and shoved it inside her handbag.
She's going to look him in the face and ask him why he cheated, she will ask him what he saw in Kate, why he married her in the first place when he liked Kate after all.

She dressed up and took Baby with her and walked downstairs.
She went into her mums room and she was reading her bible.
She dropped Baby on her bed,
“are you going somewhere?”,
“yes, just for some air”,
“is every thing okay, heard what happened?”, she asked and Gina stared at her, almost ready to tear up again, what would her mother say to her, she had been through something similar.
Is she going to end up like her mother, who married multiple men just not to feel lonely, how is she going to raise her kids without Seth?
“what are you gaping at, I heard about the factory fire, have you heard from him?”, she asked and Gina took a deep breath as tears rolled down and she started crying again.
“oh my, was it that bad?”, she asked getting up from her bed, she went to Gina and hugged her, patting her back.
“was it that bad?”, she asked sitting Gina down and she nodded.
“no, am just being over emotional”, she said wiping her face,
“are you sure you're okay?”,
“yes mom, I want to step out, just for some minutes”, she said and slowly got up and left.
She wanted to use the front door, but heard the girls talking, even Trey was there. She turned and left through the back door.

"So why didn't you go for Gina?", Nora asked and sucked in some juice through the straw.
Stephanie looked at her but she didn't look back although she knows what's on Stephanie's mind.
Trey smiled shyly, he wasn't prepared for the question and he couldn't lie. His intentions were obvious.
He sat back on his chair,
"Well..", he chuckled,
"Isn't it obvious...she has someone else",
"Even before that...back then I thought you two had something going on",
"Nora",
"What?", She said shrugging,
"He would've been a better man for our sister than the cheating rich dude",
"He cheated on her?", Trey asked sitting up immediately. Nora's boyfriend who's been half listening and typing into his laptop looked at her, everyone expecting a clear answer.
"Well..he did",
"Nora, can you quit being a bitch and grow up, seriously?", Stephanie said and left the table.
"What did I do?", She asked with her hands in the air.
