Mandy sat on the table with an ice bag
on her cheeks. She threw the pills into her mouth and waited for it to work.

She heard a knock on the door and thought it might be the drug kicking in but she heard it again.

She got scared, she thought it might be her husband coming back again or his debtors.

She took a kitchen knife and went to the door, she slowly opened it and whoever is outside dragged the door open. She screamed and raised the knife to stab,
"What the hell!", Tricia shouted trying to block her. Mandy stopped, with eyes wide open.
Tricia sighed and walked in. Mandy stood there shocked, the knife fell off her hand,
"Can you please lock the door", she said but Mandy was gaping. She went and closed the door herself.
"Yes, its me",
"Omg",
"Yea", she said and went and sat down. She took the half empty beer and poured it all in her mouth.
"You..", Mandy said and went and sat across her,
"You were supposed to be dead",
"Yes",
"You jumped off the roof and..and then you were in that accident, i went to your funeral and-",
"Enough, well here I am, I survived, get over it", she said and pulled off her hood,
"O.m.g", she said not sure if this is all real or the drug could be doing this.
Half her face is wrinkled up from the burn,
"See, I need your help", she held her hand but she took it, still scared,
"What?",
"I just need to stay here for awhile",
"Are you crazy? If Josh sees you here..",
"You're still with Josh?",
"Yea, we married", she said quietly, Tricia scoffed,
"Whatever, but I can hide here, just for some days",
"Am sorry Tricia, I know we're friends but I can't help you. I barely bailed myself out from being your accomplice in kidnapping your cousins wife and co., wait, what are you planning now?", She asked and Tricia stood up,
"I just need to do something",
"Tricia, you barely survived, just lay low now",
"Stop", Tricia said turning sharply towards her,
"I get it, you don't want to help me but don't fxcking tell me what to do", she said and left, banging the door.
"Omg", Mandy said still surprised, "its been", she said calculating, "three years? Omg", she said feeling shivers, it could be the drugs!
She was thinking while her husband walked in,
"Who was that?", he asked and Mandy jumped out of her thought,
"Who?",
"Isn't that your friend, the McGregor?", he asked interested,
"What, no?", she said and walked into the room.

Gina sent Marcel to fetch Seth while her and her sisters prepared for dinner.
"I thought you said aunt Sarah will be coming home for Christmas mom?",
"She said after Christmas, she might as well not come at all", she said sitting down,
"Why don't you go and visit her instead, I mean, when last did you travel out of this town or visit your sisters, mom",
"Am too old for that and when are you two settling down. I need to see all my grand kids",
"You're not that old yet",
"And it's Christmas, can we change the topic", Gina said and the door bell rang,
"I'll get it", she said and went to get the door.

She opened it and Chris was standing there with a huge bag and a wine on his left hand,
"Omg Chris", Gina said and helped him with the wine,
"Hope am not late?",
"Nope you're right on time", she said and locked the door,
"Merry Christmas", he said and pecked her cheeks,
"Merry Christmas",
"You shouldn't have bothered bringing anything", she said and led him to the parlor.
"It won't be polite to come empty handed",
"Who said that?", She asked and he laughed.

The other men, including Seth has joined the table, they all sat down and the grace was said and they dug in. Gina had to sit Marcel beside her to make him eat. Seth was sitting beside her, Trey came later and was sitting beside Jerry and Stephanie. Chris sat after Stephanie, beside Joe who's sitting next to Marcel.

They had dinner, filled with laughter and intense moments. Chris had to bring up his friendship with Gina which intrigued Geraldine, who led the topic.
"So you two knew each other way back?", Stephanie asked sarcastically,
"Yea, we were in same class", he said,
"He had this lunch box that made him popular and he always brings delicious food", Gina said while cleaning off the food on Marcel's mouth,
"I was a nerd but she still hung out with me",
"No you're not, you were adorable and cute", she said and he laughed lightly, obviously blushing.
