Chapter 2 - Wanda's 5th birthday/Kindergarden check-up

Clint's been gone for 2 weeks, it's the day of Wanda's birthday. Wanda has been missing Clint recently, but even more so on this day. All the kids had just gotten downstairs, when there's a knock on the door, Lila answer's it, and it's Clint. "Wanda," she calls, "Yes Lila," Wanda comes running, when she sees Clint she jumps into his arms. "DADDY," she was crying, Clint held her, then set her down, then went to find Laura. A few minutes later, as they were talking they heard Wanda's voice, "shut up, Nathaniel!" "Wanda Jane Barton, you do not yell at your brother to shut up," Clint came into the room. "Why did you say that," Wanda looked at the floor, "Wanda look at me," Wanda looked at him, "that is not okay for you to do that." Wanda started crying, "daddy he said its not my birthday," Clint softened, he picked Wanda up then addressed Nathaniel. "Nathaniel, why did you say it wasn't her birthday," ''because it isn't," was the reply, "YES IT IS!" Wanda was beside herself, Laura by this time was at the door, and she took Wanda from Clint. She took Wanda into the next room, while Clint took care of Nathaniel. "Baby calm down, Nathianiel's just jealous," Laura said, Wanda stopped crying, sniffling, and through deep breathes said, "he's....just.....jealous?" Laura reassured her it would be okay, and eventually Wanda calmed down comepletely. Soon the incident was forgotten, and they had the most fun as a family of 6 they've ever had. The next day Laura woke Wanda up earlier than the rest because Wanda had her kindergarden check-up. On the way there Wanda kept asking questions, and Laura was smiling at the fact she wasn't scared. When they got there, Wanda played in the waiting room while they waited for the doctor. When the doctor called them, Wanda went with Laura, and the doctor did the check-up. When it came time for the needles, Laura held Wanda's hand, and the doctor did the needles. Laura was expecting tears and a tantrum, but there was none, on the way out Wanda was talking about all the friends she was going to make. In the car Laura told Wanda, "You did so well, you are allowed to have a ice pop, or ice cream at home." Wanda responded, "I want a ice pop please." At home, Laura got an ice pop for Wanda, and sat her out on the porch to eat it, then she went to Clint, and told him about the appointment. Clint came and scooped Wanda up, "honey daddy is so proud of you," "thank you daddy," Wanda replied. Then she remembered that she had to go shopping for school, "MOMMY, CAN WE GO SCHOOL SHOPPING!" "Sweetie don't shout," Clint said, Wanda went to Laura, "mommy can we go school shopping?" "Yes we can," Laura answered, "Go get your shoes on, and mommy will get your list." Wanda put on her elsa velcro shoes, and Clint helped her put her jacket on, as it was chilly out. Then Laura came with Lila, and Nathaniel, and they went out to the car. Lila helped buckle Wanda in, while Laura got Nathaniel. Nathaniel looked at Wanda, "Wanda I'm sorry for saying it wasn't your birthday yesterday." "I forgive you Nathaniel," Laura was beaming, "kids I'm so proud of you," Lila then asked, "mom can we go to walmart too, I forgot I need hair shampoo, and conditioner." Laura told her they could, and as they were passing Walmart stopped. While Lila was getting her shampoo, and conditioner, Wanda spotted the backpacks, "Mommy look, can I please get this backpack?" And she handed Laura a Elsa backpack, Laura told her, "You don't want to wait and see what they have at the store." Wanda nodded, and put it back, then Lila returned, and they checked out. When they got to the store, Lila went off to get her things, and Laura had to juggle both Wanda, and Nathaniel. Then Lila returned, and asked Laura a question, and offered to help Wanda. So then Wanda went with Lila, and Nathaniel stayed with Laura. Wanda asked, "Lila can I please get a water bottle," "let's ask mom," and Lila called Laura. When she hung up, she told Wanda, "mom said yes," "yayyy," Wanda was excited. She put a Elsa water bottle into the cart, and then they went to the backpacks, "Lila can I get a Elsa backpack," Lila answered, "Let's get the pink one because it's a little bigger." Wanda said okay, and they got everything, and met Laura at the front. On the way home, Nathaniel picked a fight with Wanda, however Wanda said, "Nathaniel lets not fight."
