Chapter 4: Merita's Day Off

Merita was in the kitchen that morning, she was finishing washing the dishes that morning as Blitz gave her the day off to calm down and to take a break. Eric and Evelyn in the palace's library studying the history of hell. After she finished watching the dishes, Merita snapped her fingers and one of her imp butlers walked to her instantly.

Merita: Henry, can you please get me the phone, I need to call Stolas

Henry ( the imp butler ): yes my lady ( he said politely with a smile )

As Henry lefted the room, Merita remembered how much that other high up demons like her father Paimon would make fun of her for being so nice and kind to her servants, as well as demons in the weaker ranks of Hell in general but Merita always loved the company of the weaker class, she was always intrigued by the lives of lower class demons of Hell as they were the opposite of her's. Merita's train of thought then stopped when she saw Henry come back with the phone.

Henry: the phone as you requested my lady ( he said politely )

Merita: thank you Henry ( she said to the imp with a kind smile )

Merita then dialed Stolas's number and held the phone to her ear once Stolas picked up the phone, Merita's expression turned into a serious one.

Stolas: Hello?

Merita: Stolas...

Stolas: Merita! H-how are you-

Merita: don't try to dodge the bullet Stolas ( sighs ) I've done have thinking and.... I forgive you for lying to me about your affair with Blitzo but do understand that I won't let go the fact that you lied to me Stolas.

Stolas: I know.... I just wanted to protect you Merita... Your one of the few almost truly innocent demons I've known in all of hell and I didn't want to drag you into my mess.

Merita: Stolas, we are siblings, what's your mess is my mess as well but I'm an adult now not a child. I can handle this kind of stuff...

Stolas: how's Blitz and your friends at his little company?

Merita: it's been great so far. I just hope their doing okay-

Merita's cellphone starts ringing

Merita: oh dear, I'll have to call you back Stolas

Merita hanged up the phone and picked up the call on her cellphone.

Merita: Hello-

Blitzo: Mery! Long story short! We kinda angered some Cherubs and we need your help!

Merita's eyes widened and then she frowned with a protective and furious look in her eyes as her tail fluffed up.

Merita: I'm on my way. ( She said with a stern tone )

Merita then summoned her grimoire and made a portal to the human world, at the I.M.Ps' location to see Moxie and Millie having a " moment " while swinging around the stage while two sheep cherubs were trying to shot at them, as Blitzo was getting chased and shot at by a cherub that looked like a baby.  Merita waited in the shadows watching the scene until Blitzo threw his gun at the Cherub when they were aiming their weapons at each other and long story short, the Cherubs accidentally killed the old man who Merita assumes was the target. Moxie and Millie were now tied up and Blitzo was sitting on the ground.
