The Love Line

Ohm and Fluke were seated with Sky in between and Sun on Ohm's lap. They were at the school auditorium for Olivia's graduation ceremony. They all cheered as they watched Olivia getting her diploma on the stage. Fluke took pictures and videos to document that special moment for Olivia.

The program went well and all the people in the auditorium had smiles on their faces. Both Ohm and Fluke were surprised when they knew that Olivia was not awarded Cum Laude just like she had told them before, but she was awarded the highest honor, Summa Cum Laude. 

Fluke was teary-eyed. He was so happy not only for Olivia but also for Ohm. Both of them worked hard for this. Fluke was so proud of the siblings.  He looked at Ohm and saw him with glassy eyes. He knew he was so proud of his sister. He placed his hand on Ohm's shoulder and caressed it gently. Ohm looked at him with a smile. They didn't say anything, but they understood each other. 

They focused their attention on the stage as the speaker called Olivia for her graduation speech.

"Good day professors, administrators, parents, and the amazing Class of 2022. I would like to praise and acknowledge all the professors for coming through for us in this journey, and for that reason, I ask my fellow graduates to stand up and join me in giving all the teachers a round of applause."

Happy cheers and applause were heard in the place. 

"Thank you to everyone who has made this university what it is and for supporting my fellow students and me along the way. We have acquired an excellent education here."

Then another round of applause was heard. As the cheers died down, Olivia continued.

"Also, I would like to honor our parents. Thank you for always supporting and encouraging us to reach for our dreams. Without you, our graduation would not have been possible. We thank you with all our hearts."

Everyone cheered for their parents. 

"On a personal note, I would like to thank my brother. Phi Ohm, we made it!" Olivia said teary-eyed. "Thank you for all the love and support. I know thank you is not enough for all the hard work you've done just to give me a good education and everything that I need. You are the best! I love you so much! To our parents who are watching us from heaven, Mom, Dad, we made it! I know you are proud of what we have become. You don't need to worry up there. We can make it till the end." Olivia proudly said. "One more thing, to my Phi Fluke and our babies, Sky and Sun. Thank you for coming into our lives. You made our lives brighter and happier. I love you guys!"

Fluke reached for Ohm's face to wipe the tears that escaped from his eyes. Ohm took his hand and held it tight. Fluke intertwined their fingers and squeezed his hand a little, telling him that he was just there for them. They felt little hands on their intertwined ones, Sky and Sun both put their hands on Ohm and Fluke's, a sign that they were all in this together. Both adults smiled and kissed the little ones.

"Today is a very special day for all of us. This is not only the day which marks the end of our long academic journey at Pinyo University but also the day that tells us we're all ready to take the next big step in life."

"Fellow graduates, pat yourself on the back and congratulate yourself for accomplishing something you should be proud of. All the hard work had paid off. Before long, many of us will be starting at those entry-level jobs that will be the starting point of our careers. Some of us will begin graduate school, and once again on the bottom step of the ladder. However, thanks to everything we have learned so far. We are confident that we will keep on climbing as though we are on a continuous ladder to a goal we've never accomplished before. For that reason, I commend you to make sure that you are on the ladder that you certainly want to be. It is your life, live it just the way you want it."
