Ohm and Fluke arrived at the hospital earlier than their scheduled appointment with Dr. Coates. Fluke wanted to see Earth first and have some time with him like he usually did. He hadn't told Ohm about Earth's story yet. He would do that after he talked to Dr. Coates about Earth's condition. The doctor told him during the call the other night that there were some improvements in Earth's health, but Fluke couldn't be complacent about it. He knew there was more to know about his son's condition. It could be good, or bad, but for now, he just wanted to spend a little time with his son.
"Hi, Baby Earth." Fluke greeted the little one as he entered the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). He held the boy's little hand and caressed it gently.
Ten days after the little boy was admitted to the hospital, Dr. Coates gave him the go signal to enter the NICU. He was instructed the dos and don'ts to assure Earth's safety. He had to make sure he was in full protective gear every time.
Fluke was so happy to be able to hold his son that he shed happy tears. Sky and Sun went with him to see Earth sometimes, but they were not allowed inside.
"I hope you're doing fine there. Hang on. . . okay? I know you can do it. Your Phi Sky and Phi Sun are praying that you would be able to be home with us soon." He said softly. "It would be fun to play with your Phis. So be strong and be healthy fast. You can do that, right?"
The little one moved his hand as if he was answering his father's question. Fluke smiled widely and tears flowed from his eyes. He was happy that Earth responded to him. He knew he would get better.
A few more minutes were spent then a nurse told him that it was time to leave.
"Bye, Baby. Papa will miss you. I'll come back as soon as I can. I love you." With one last soft caressing on the little one's head, Fluke stood up and left the room.
Ohm was there to hug him as soon as he got out of the NICU. He had watched Fluke through the glass window of the room. He wiped the latter's tears and kissed his forehead.
"Everything will be okay, Love. We will bring him home soon."
Fluke just nodded his head. He was so glad for Ohm. Before it was only him alone in this kind of situation - he comforted himself, he dried his tears, but now, Ohm was willing to be by his side. Thankful would be an understatement. He was beyond that word. He was grateful and appreciated everything Ohm did. He didn't know he would be able to love someone this fast, but Ohm made him do it.
The way this man treated not only him but also his children was something he did not expect. Ohm loved not only him but also his children - the most important in his life. Just like what he told Ohm, his children were the priority.
"Let's talk to Dr. Coates."
They walked to the hallway hand in hand to the Doctor's office.

"Hi, Fluke." A cheery doctor greeted them as they entered.
"Good morning, Dr. Coates." Fluke greeted back. "By the way, this is Ohm."
The doctor did not ask who he was to Fluke, but she understood that he was someone special. The way the taller man looked and held Fluke said it all. She had known Fluke for a few years already since she was also the doctor of Sky and Sun. She felt glad that Fluke had someone with him now. She just smiled at them sweetly.
