━━━━ A DESPERATE inhale disrupted the peaceful aroma; the Sun itself barely even awake before her. As the weakened girl began to stir the massive migraine reminded her that the past two days wasn't just a vivid dream, she truly did kill him with her freaky so-called 'condition'.
She hissed holding the side of her head as it began to throb again; "fuck." she growled as she sat herself up inside the rusty boat only to see the metal-head Eddie Munson passed out not even inches away, using his shitty jean jacket as a makeshift pillow.
An unknowing smile appeared on her face as his quiet snores harmonized with the distant crickets. She sighed; carefully and quietly climbing out of the rusted boat immediately stretching out her aching joints and muscles.
"christ what a shithole.." she mumbled, shrugging off her jackets gently placing them both upon Eddie; covering his somewhat shivering body.
"ya'know you're kinda cute for a satanic cult leader." she mumbled with a grin, crouching down beside him. "I never thanked you for saving my life, I owe you." she placed a gentle kiss on his stubbled cheek, smiling softly. Joey was thankful that he finally fell asleep, knowing he had hadn't slept in hours.
"also I'm stealing your cigarettes." She carefully dug around in his pocket pulling out the almost empty box of Marboro's and his lighter.
"thanks." She grinned as she rose to her feet stepping out of the smelly shack. She placed one of the tobacco sticks between her chapped lips as she walk down the disheveled algae covered dock.
The small flame warmed her chilled face as she lit the stick taking a very long drag.
The chilling morning breeze sent shivers down her spine, somewhat cooling her burning insides. She watched as the white smoke trickled out, up into the star filled sky.
All her mind could focus on was that dream last night, or what she could only hope was a dream. She held the cigarette between her lips watching her hands as they began to tremble; her fingertips tingling more than usual. Joey took one more drag before tossing the stick aside.
"what killed Chrissy-" the smoke escaped as she spoke. "killed her the same exact way I killed Dan." she continued, attempting to connect the confusing pieces.
