Chapter 20 In Another Life I Would Be Your Girl.
KATY'S POV
They are making him the blood transfusion now and I'm waiting on the same chair as before.
After like 20 minutes the same nurse i think her name is Lucy, came and give me the news.
"The transfusion went pretty well, he's in a room now. But he's in a coma state, we don't know when he's going to wake up" she said.
"Okay thank you. Can I see him?" I asked her.
"Yes, he's in room 371, Fourth floor" she said and then leave.
I walked into the elevator, once i arrived to the fourth floor i started looking for his room. I instantly found it was the one at the end of hallway. I slowly opened the door and got in.
I saw him laying on the bed lifeless. He was connect to machines. He looked paler than usual but he still was sexy. I sat down on a chair next to the bed.
I noticed that they had change his clothes, now he was wearing one of those blue hospital overalls. I saw his clothes over the bedside table, they were covered with blood.
I think i should call his family. Yeah I'll called them, i think one of his brothers was in town this week.
"Hello?" A raspy man's voice pick up the phone.
"Hi Ben, it's Katy" i said
"Oh Hi Katy! What's up?" He asked
"It's John, he-he g-ot shoot and is at the hospital" i said my voice breaking.
"What?! How did that happened?!" He asked
I explained him all the story.
"Okay I'll be there in 10, what room is he at?" He said "371" i said and we hung up. He said he would call Carl so i have to tell his parents about it. I don't know how I'm gonna do this!
After thinking about it i decided that the best way would be by telling them carefully. I press the button call and after a few rings his mother answer.
"Hello, Katy?" She said
"Hi Margaret! Yes it's me" i said
"How are you darling?" She asked, ow she's always so sweet with me.
"Honestly, I've been better" i said
"What's wrong?" She asked worried noticing on her voice.
"John got shoot and he's at the hospital but he's okay" i said, okay that wasn't careful at all. Good job Katy!. I didn't tell her that he's in coma thought.
"Oh my God! I can't believe this! Are you okay?" She asked.
"Yeah I'm fine, but just because of John, he saved me" i said and i felt tears started running down my face again.
"We'll try to go to LA, and visit him. I'm glad that at least he's okay" she said and that warm my heart.
"Okay I can pay for the tickets if you need it and you can also stay at home" i said
"It won't be necessary darling, thank you anyway. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Bye" she said and hung up.

30 MINUTES LATER
Ben just arrived.
"Hey Katy why don't you go home, take a shower a some rest" he said and i looked at him thinking about it. "Don't worry I'll stay here all night, I'll call if something happens"
"Okay bur tomorrow at 8 I'll be here. I'll also take his clothes to wash them." I said.
"It works for me" he said. "Okay bye"

AT HOME
I took a shower an put on my pajamas. I went downstairs and took John's clothes to wash them.
I checked his shirt pocket to see if he had anything important that could get ruined, nothing. I also checked his trousers, left pocket 5$, right pocket a little box. I pulled it off and opened it. My eyes widened, a diamond ring! That's why he was so nervous! He was going to propose. My jaw drop and tears began running uncontrollably. He was going to propose! This was supposed to be one of our best days ever, it was supposed to be our engagement day but it all went the wrong way! He's at the hospital unconscious, no one knows if he would ever woke up!
I sat on the floor and cried and cried and cried until i fell asleep.
