"Shehnaaz! Yar doodh garam hai sambhal ke" Sidharth rushed towards the kitchen balancing his mobile in between his ear and shoulder,as he was holding a book and a pen in his hands.
He was amidst a conversation on call, but his girl was way more important than anything else when it came to her well being.
"Please give me 5 minutes, I'll call back" he mumbled & hurriedly disconnected the call keeping away the book and pen.
"Bola tha na, gadhi" he mocked her head as he saw her blow air on her fingers that probably got a tinge of burn from touching the utensil of steaming hot milk.
"Dikha, zyada nai hua hai thankfully. Chal ointment laga dunga abhi toh in some time it'll be fine" he said in a tough tone but his actions were so contradicting his words because his face clearly had worry written all over & he held her hands so gently.
But, how would they be what they are if they didn't start bickering?
Shehnaaz made a pout,a fake crying face and said "Sidhaarrthh! Pyar se bhi bol sakta hai na? Pyar se bol ab ki Sana please chal ointment laga dunga"
Sidharth rolled his eyes at her demand.
"Ab kar rah hu na? Pyar vyar se nai hota mere ko, chal" he said holding her wrist carefully.
"Kutta!" She muttered pursing her lips knowing well that he wouldn't budge, he chuckled as he heard her curse but nevertheless dragged her to the hall to tend to her burns.
"Baby, please dhyan se whatever it is that you want to do in the kitchen. Agli bar chamat marunga agar aisi gadho wali harkat ki toh" he said softly this time while he applied the ointment.
"Tu daant rah hai ya phir care kar rah hai meri?" She giggled.
"Dono!" He spat back with a poker face.
"Khadoos!" She muttered under her breathe which didn't go unnoticed by him but he let it go, because there was nothing that she said which he didn't love.
It was a fine Sunday afternoon when they were unexpectedly alone in Sidharth's flat for the first time as Rita ji had to leave for an urgent meeting at the Brahmakumaris. Somehow, they'd not felt awkward about staying alone at his home, rather both were comfortable like it was their everyday thing, as if they belonged there in that home.
Shehnaaz got an idea to prepare kheer out of the blue and that's when she entered the kitchen only to burn her fingers by touching the hot vessel of milk that Rita ji had kept on the kitchen slab few minutes ago before she left.
"Acha sun, kheer rehne de aaj, kabhi aur bana le na. Abhi biriyani order kare kya? Bhook lagi hai" Sidharth suggested, keeping away the medicine box.
Shehnaaz kept staring at him while he said that.
"Ghoor kyu rhi hai bey, kuch bol rah hu answer toh de" he quipped.
"Tu aise bolta hai na toh bohat acha lagta hai Sidharth" she said still not taking her eyes off him.
"Kaise?" He raised his eyebrows.
"Jaise mei yaha pe kabhi bhi aa sakti hu, tere kitchen mei jo chahe bana sakti hu like you know you say it so naturally as if I'm a part of this family. For once I feel like mei bhi ek normal ladki hu and not the stern CEO" Shehnaaz said with a faint smile.
