ᴀʀᴀᴄᴇʟɪ ʜᴀꜱ ᴀʟᴡᴀʏꜱ ʙᴇᴇɴ ᴀᴡᴀʀᴇ, from the moment she was conscious of the fact that the world is very much bigger than her, that she didn't think, taste, see, hear, or feel the same as others.

Motorcycles make her cry, chewing makes her want to vomit, and the phone ringing makes her anxious.

She feels it is essential to color code, blue should be everyone's favorite color as it is the color of the ocean (where sharks, the kings of the habitat reside), and neon lights make her head hurt.

Coffee is reliable and needs to be had every day, cooked food could only be trusted if it was made by her, or her father, eating at cafes and restaurants is highly stressful. (She only tries new food at home.)

She needs to sleep with a weighted (cooling!!) blanket, no article of clothing should touch too high on her neck, no necklaces, turtlenecks are permittable depending on the fabric.

Araceli thinks about sharks, Quirk Theory, and becoming a hero. In any situation that involved talking about anything else makes her want to run away and hide.

Araceli feels deeply, extremely deeply, and often doesn't know how to identify these feelings.

So, she ignores them.

Araceli is like any other teenager out there, just... a little different.

Luckily for her, Izuku Midoriya embraces all of her differences, and she embraces all of his.

Quirks, anxieties, obsessions and all, the two of them get each other through thick and thin.

And every day since the two months Araceli has arrived, the two of them manage to get through hell-like school days at Aldera Junior High.

Somehow.

There's knocking on the Castillo apartment door, earlier than there should be. Ana Castillo, Araceli's mother, opens up.

"Ah! Midoriya-kun! You're awfully early today!

Izuku nods, showing Ana his phone, "Yup! There's a villian on the loose near-by, I want to catch the action and watch before we go to school!!"

Ana smiles, "Let me call Ari, she'll be up quicker than lighting when she hears."

Izuku nods, rocking on the balls of his feet, anticipatingly waiting for his friends to come out.

Araceli tumbles out of the apartment, her hair a mess and coffee and a plain bagel in hand.

"Hold this please," she shoves the coffee in Izuku's hand and starts to walk to the elevator.

Izuku chuckles as she holds the bagel in her mouth while she ties her hair into a neat ponytail.

"Thabks Midoiwa," Araceli says, taking back the coffee while chewing quickly on her bagel.
