ꜱʜᴀʀᴘ ɪꜱ ᴛʜᴇ ꜰɪʀꜱᴛ ᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ᴀʀᴀᴄᴇʟɪ ꜰᴇᴇʟꜱ when her eyes snap open. Araceli grits her teeth; her blanket has transfigured onto a hard and crystalline structure, its jagged edges digging into her arms.

Araceli hastily whispers, "Reverse!" She sighs in relief when the blanket returns to its original state, sadly she'll still have to wash it.

"Of course, this would happen today...", Araceli winces as she inspects new cuts on her arms. Araceli's quirk goes off in her sleep without her meaning to when she's especially stressed and anxious.

These past ten months leading up to today, the entrance exam, have been exceptionally rough.

Araceli tiredly looks at the clock beside her bed, six am... she promised to meet Izuku at the front of his door at seven so that they could commute to U.A. together.

Araceli makes her way to the bathroom. She squints her eyes at the bathroom's harsh bright light and start looking for band aids and wipes.

As she cleans her new cuts there's a knock on the bathroom door, "Yes?"

Hector, her father, stands at the doorway, "Again? Ari... that's the third time this month...", he says sympathetically.

Araceli shrugs, beginning to put shark-themed band aids on her arms, "It's fine. They're not painful, just like small scratches."

Her father frowns, Araceli inherited this part of her quirk from him... he hates to see the way that it hurts her. "Have you taken your medicine?"

Araceli nods, "Yeah, a little bit ago, I'm not very anxious right now, well a little, but not as badly as I was when I woke up."

"Okay...", Hector sighs heavily.

When Ari's finished, she asks, "Quieres tomar café conmigo? After I pack my bag for today?"'

Hector ruffles his daughter's hair, "Sure, voy a hacer los okay?"

Araceli smiles, "Okay."

Araceli places her bag by the door, when she walks into the kitchen, she finds her mom sitting with her father.

Ana gestures Araceli to sit next to her, "There's my big baby! I can't believe today's the day."

Araceli nods slowly, picking up the large cup of coffee her father set down in front of her, "Yep... Today is the day."

Ana pretends to punch into the air, "I just know you'll make us proud!"

"Ana... Just remember Araceli, don't psyche yourself out, you belong up there," Hector reminds gently.

"Yeah..."

"Remember to stay focused, you worked hard enough not to regret anything no matter what happens," her mom adds on.

"I know," Araceli looks at the clock, "It's about to be seven, I'm going to go."

Hector and Ana watch as Araceli puts her shoes on, routinely fixing her hair in the mirror right next to the door and heading out.

"Her quirk went off again...", Hector told Araceli's mom.

"Oh... well, I'm sure she'll be okay, she's a strong girl," Ana says wistfully, "I can't believe our niña is going to be a highschooler soon..."

"I know... she's growing up so fast."

Ana chuckles, "Let's be honest, Araceli come out as mature as a twenty-five-year-old!"

"You're right, that was something we never expected raising her."
