03. she's a finned leopard shark

ᴀʀᴀᴄᴇʟɪ ʜᴜᴍꜱ ᴛᴏ ʜᴇʀꜱᴇʟꜰ ᴀꜱ ꜱʜᴇ ᴡᴀʟᴋꜱ ɪɴᴛᴏ ᴛʜᴇ ʜᴏꜱᴘɪᴛᴀʟ, Nurse Sada greets the girl at the door.

"Good afternoon, Castillo-san! Rei-san was asking for you!"

Araceli bows politely, "Hello, thank you for telling me, I'll go to her room then."

Araceli is a volunteer for a wellness program that takes place at the hospital, she entertains children, the elderly, or other patients so that their spirits can stay lifted during their stay.

After walking up the stairs and the hallway, Araceli knocks on Rei-san's door.

"Come in," a women's soft voice answers.

Araceli opens the door, smiling happily, "Hello Rei-san!" 

Rei waves, sitting by the window in her usual spot, "Hello dear! How was your day?"

Araceli loves going to Rei's room, the woman is such a comforting and warm-hearted soul. She even invites young ones to her room to read to them sometimes is they are feeling homesick.

Rei is a brutally finned leopard shark.

Araceli has never met a stronger woman.

Araceli makes her way to Rei's small table, taking a seat.

"It was hard, but I'm glad to see that you are doing well!"

Rei nods, "Ah... yes, I've been doing much better. Albeit I do get a little bored."

Araceli rummages through her book bag, "I have cards! And I brought a coloring book and my sketchbook."

"Let's color while we talk then."

Araceli happily hands Rei the coloring book and colored pencils while also flipping her sketchbook to her next blank page.

"Oh my, has your quirk been giving you a hard time dear?"

Araceli tilts her head and then Rei points to her hands.

"Oh... yes. I've been a bit stressed lately."

"How so?", the white-haired woman asks sympathetically.

"Just really anticipating high school, I want to apply to U.A, after all. I've been training extra hard with my quirk and with MMA."

Rei hums, "I see. Well, from what I've heard you are a very bright and talented young woman," Rei pumps her fists, cheering, "You can do it!"

Araceli smiles, swinging her feet and beginning to draw, "Thank you!"

After a couple moments of peaceful silence Rei asks, "So how's that boy your friends with," she gives Araceli a knowing look.

"He is doing well; we saw a hero and villain fight. A rookie named Mt. Lady was there, she totally stole the hero that's on the come up-- Kamui Woods'-- thunder.

Araceli totally misses Rei's intention, to which Rei chuckles gently at.

"I see, it must've been scary!"

"It was so cool! And the last part was funny."

"I'm glad you thought so, you mentioned before he wants to become a hero too?"

"Yup. He's super smart, I know he'll totally crush the exam."

"I'll be rooting for him too. Araceli," Rei attempts to try once more, "is he cute?"
