11. Dinner? right.

Kits pov
I've been waiting for the right moment to talk to Roni about how i feel but i can't seem to find one.

We've both been so busy it's been hard to find time to talk especially with the time difference.

It's 6pm for us which means it's around 1pm for roni if i'm not mistaken.

I was invited to a dinner with a few people that are well known in the industry. A few agents, directors, actors, actresses, ect.

I have zero interest in going but my manager insists i go so i can get my name out there since heartstopper came out and is a big hit.

The only thing I'm looking forward to is that joe will be there.

I try ringing Roni before i head out since we haven't talked much today but they don't answer. Oh well i guess we'll just talk later. I grab my keys , my jacket, and i head out.

Roni's pov
I wake up feeling awful. I think it's because Max and i will be going back to school in a few weeks and it's been causing me so much anxiety.

I head downstairs to get breakfast seeing as it's 10am and max is probably down there now.

I walk around the corner seeing max and dad throwing grapes into each other mouths like some weird mini game of basketball.

"Hey, dad. why are you up? didn't you work last night?"

"i did but i missed you guys. i know i've been working a lot of late nights and sleeping most of the day"

"yes but it's okay i mean you can't help it besides we'd both rather see you get some sleep then fall apart while trying to spend time with us." max says

"yeah exactly. We'll do something when work starts to slow down" i pitch in.

"We could maybe take a vacation, i mean your birthday is coming up you guys! it could be fun just the three of us and..."

Dad pauses and he and max look at me with smirks on their faces

"and?..." i ask hesitantly.

"and all of your friends...in london..."

I almost choke on my coffee i gasp so hard.

"what? but why would we go there it's max's birthday too"

max stands up walking towards me and says "yes it is and i asked dad if we could go"

"but why?" i ask

"because i want to meet your friends, besides i really hit it off with Tobie..."

"WHAT? what happened to the girl you were just talking to"

"yeahhhh about that...i lied. it's a guy but i knew if i told you you'd sniff it out so fast because there's not bi or gay guys here!"

"but what about the issue you were talking to Kit and i about?"

"Well Tobie's been worried about the distance but i told him i'd come visit him and take him out and show him that if could be so worth it"

Oh did i fail to mention that my dad has two bi kids? whoops.

"OH MY GOD I KNEW IT I KNEW YOU WERENT TALKING TO SOMEONE FROM OUR TOWN THEY ALL HATE US"

"roni quiet!" dad says laughing.

"I'm so happy for you max and i can not wait to spend our birthday together in london...we'll be legal"
i say winking at him.

"Hey watch it" dad says before walking upstairs to bed.
