Donna opened her eye and blinked. Exhaustion seeped into her muscles and bones, every time she tried to sleep now all she could see was her parents, or Mother Miranda hovering over her. She looked up at the tan ceiling and sighed softly, thankful for the emptiness. Angie perked up and looked down at her. Donna sat up on the bed and glanced around the room, she had some serious work ahead of her. She stood up and glided into the kitchen, it was potent with rotten food which made her appetite turn and she quickly scampered up the stairs. Angie hummed behind her as she watched Donna roll the sleeves of her gown up, she handed Angie a duster while she took a broom and trash bag.

"Sooooo....are you cleaning because you want to avoid talking about it?" Asked Angie.

Talk about what? Thought Donna.

"Did you forget I can literally feel, and see everything you do? I had to save you when you froze in front of that blond girl. What was her name?"

Bela.

"See? Even speaking her name you blush. I thought your heart was going to burst out of your chest. You barely know the girl and you're in love."

I'm not in love. She simply..surprised me. I wasn't expecting someone to look at me so kindly other than Mother Miranda, but we both know as soon as she sees my face she'll react how everyone else does.

"She's made out of bugs and drinks blood. You really think she cares about your looks?"

Just drop it Angie.

Angie remained silent as she dusted off her friends, one by one they came to life and started to assist in cleaning up the mansion. Donna cleared out the kitchen; she scrubbed the floors, scrapped off mold, disinfected, and reorganized to keep her mind busy. As she handed a bag to some dolls to throw away the phone rang, her head snapped toward it as Angie floated over and picked it up. Donna tilted her head to listen in and speak through Angie.

"Hello Donna, this is Alcina Dimitrescu. I wanted to call and check in with you, would you like to come over for some tea? I can have my maids make you something to eat if you like."

On cue Donna's stomach growled, she didn't eat often or very much but she had been surviving on soup and stale bread, plus she didn't have any other option. She nodded and Angie confirmed excitedly, she could care less about seeing Alcina, she was excited to see Daniela again.

Do not cause any destruction! I know you like pranks, and Danila is definitely an instigator, but please behave. I don't want Alcina to dislike us.

"Ughhh. Fine." Groaned Angie.

Donna returned to her room and placed the veil over her head, the dolls returned to their posts for she couldn't control them from the castle. She stood in front of the door that led outside of the manor, she would have to walk to the castle by herself without Mother Miranda, and through the village. Angie snuggled into her arms and teasingly reminded her who else was at the castle. Donna groaned under her breath and pushed through the door, her steps quickened once she passed Claudia's grave. The anxiety reared its ugly head inside her, her heart quickened and she felt her palms become clammy. Angie placed her wooden hand over Donna's to soothe her; it helped until they were at the gate that opened up to the ceremony site. She whined and shook her head.

I can't do it.

"Yes you can. You're a lord now! Those stupid villagers wouldn't dare mess with you, and if they do you can mess up their minds."

I don't want to have to do that, you know how exhausted it makes me.

"Then only mess up the space around you. Make yourself invisible!" Angie squealed.
