"Why did I do that?!" Donna whisper screamed to herself.

Angie stirred to life and shook awake, she looked around curiously then floated to Donna who slumped herself against the door. Her breathing became panicked, she hyperventilated hard enough the fabric of the veil sucked into her mouth slightly with every inhale.

"What did you do?" Questioned Angie.

"I kissed her...." Whispered Donna.

"WHAT?!?!" Screamed Angie.

On the cheek. Thought Donna as she whimpered and held her face through her veil.

"Oh...that's less exciting."

What if she doesn't want to see me now? What if that was too forward? Oh my...what if Mother Miranda finds out? Or Alcina? Or..

Angie hit Donna on top of the head with her wooden hand then ripped the veil off when Donna looked up, her expression was a mixture of confusion and anger. Angie tossed the veil to the side and crossed her arms in front of her chest.

"What did I say about 'what ifs'? If you keep cycling like that you'll never leave the manor ever! Now..tell me how it went or do I have to find out for myself?"

Donna grumbled something under her breath before she stood up from the door, with her head hung down she talked about what happened. She hugged herself as she walked to the elevator to take down to the basement. When she got to the part with the garden her face flushed, remembering how nervous Bela looked and the excitement in her eyes when she spoke about her work in the basement. The yellow in her eyes shone brighter than the sun when she got excited, Donna longed to look at them without the cover of fabric but that nagging fear reared its ugly head. Donna sighed as she looked around her bedroom and pulled her dress over her head to hang up in the closet. She bit her lower lip when she moved the fear out with the look on Bela's face when she briefly kissed her cheek, the pink in her pale skin.

"Hey!" Angie screamed.

Donna jumped, she looked at Angie surprised.

"You zoned out there for a second missy. What are you thinking about?"

Donna smirked at her, "I was thinking about how much fun I had. That means, I get to wash you and your dress!" She squeaked.

Angie yelled loudly and cursed herself for making such a stupid deal, she stomped in the air and threw a tantrum so big smoke would have come out of her ears.

"Fine." She mumbled.

Deep down Angie was happy that Donna was showing more emotions, she was also talking more which made Angie happy inside. Before they came home, before Mother Miranda, Angie had Donna's memories of how depressed she was after her parents. Mother Miranda came and gave Donna the cadou, and that only sparked more depression in her. She knew how dark those thoughts could be, but the cadou kept her alive. Now though, with her new found purpose with Bela, Donna was starting to bloom from her pod. Angie sighed an unnecessary breath; if getting a bath meant Donna would be happy, it was a sacrifice she'd have to make.

Bela was flabbergasted by the cheek kiss, she touched her cheek briefly to feel the lingering warmth and smiled brightly. She rushed home as fast as her legs could carry her, her cloak flapped behind her and she completely ignored the distant lycan growls. Back at the castle, she opened the carriage gate door quietly then closed it equally as quiet to not alert anyone of her arrival. She squealed underneath her breath, once she hung up her cloak she flew to her room in her swarm and landed on her bed with another giggle. The last time she was this happy was when she had her first chase and kill as a little girl. Bela turned over and picked up the doll from her nightstand, she hugged it to her chest and sighed deeply, if her heart could beat it would be fluttering like the flies that made it.
