Eddie and Buck had just gotten off a twelve-hour shift and were completely knackered. As they walked out of the firehouse Buck asked "Want to come over?"

"Yeah sure," Eddie answered. The two then got in Buck's jeep and went to his apartment. Once they got there Buck grabbed Eddie and his stuff and put them on the kitchen island, as Eddie went to go sit down.

"Want a beer?" Buck asked as he grabbed two from his fridge.

"Yeah thanks," Eddie answered. Buck walked into the living room area, opened his bottle, and tossed the other beer, and bottle opener to Eddie as he said

"Here Eds." Instead of catching it Eddie accidentally missed it.

"Why didn't you catch it?" Buck asked confused.

"Cause you said 'here', when throwing a bottle at a person. You psychopath." Eddie explained in a joking-sh tone; luckily the bottle landed on the cushion beside him and not on the floor. Buck just rolled his eyes as he went and sat down on the couch. "Let's watch a movie," Eddie said as he grabbed the Tv remote that was laid on the nearby coffee table.

"Yeah," Buck answered. After a while, the two were surprisingly drunk. Suddenly Eddie, who had his chin on his hand, said

"Ya know, for a straight guy, you're pretty hot." This caused Buck to blush so much, his pale skin was changed out with ruby red skin. Was his best friend, who he had been crushing on ever since he met finally confessing his feelings. It didn't take long for Buck to respond with

"Who said I was straight?"

"All your exes. You," Eddie answered blatantly.

"Yeah, but I think it's time things need change," Buck said as he started to lean in glancing between Eddie's deep brown eyes and his lips. Sober buck would never have the courage to do this, but drunk Buck doesn't want to do anything else.

"Yeah, maybe things are gonna change," Eddie suggested as he leaned in, but right as their lips had almost met, Eddie's phone started ringing.

It was his mom, who had been taking care of Chris this summer. With a groan, Eddie asked, "Do you mind if I take this, it's my mom?"

"No, not at all," Buck said as he leaned his head on the back of the couch, attempting to wipe off the bright pink blush that had recently appeared. Eddie answered the call,

"Hi mi niño, Chris wanted to call,  to say good night." His mom said over the phone, but before Eddie could reply he heard Christopher saying

"Good night, Dad!"

"Good night Chris," Eddie said, not helping to smile at his son. The call ended shortly after it had started. Eddie looked back at Buck who had been picking another movie to watch. But before Eddie could even say a word Buck had kissed him, with his hands gently on the back of Eddie's neck. Eddie was stunned for a second but then leaned into the kiss more. Both of them had wanted this, since well forever.

"I just wanted to get that in before anything else happened," Buck said, making that up, as he let go of Eddie's face. Eddie just smiled, still not believing that his best friend in the whole world liked him back.
